they already have a strong base of operations in korea thanks to league of legends so the infrastructure was already there

Lets face it, FNC have a shit map pool so they fell off. TH are just chokers. EMEA top teams fell off while the rest made changes to improve just enough to beat an out of form TH and FNC. The regional peak is lower overall. TL have always been good so they serve as the best benchmark of this regional falloff. Unless they lose to GX (they won't) my theory is all but confirmed.
