Objectively, if you win you are the better team. The win-loss record doesn't lie. T1 isn't mediocre, they have world class players and they proved it at bangkok. You can argue that their form is more inconsistent than G2, sure, but T1 peak is higher than G2 peak so until G2 proves otherwise T1 is still better. It's not as simple as keeping the best teams. Plenty of teams are trying to win and put in the proper investment for a good attempt, yet fail due to other circumstances, be it bad player performance or coaching failures.
