Most timezones technically "cater" to the other 2-3 quarters of the globe, when it comes to being able to view events FYI. The exact opposite meridians from the source of origin are always "uncatarable" to, while based on population density, some other meridian regions are impacted as well.

Simple terms: Having the events in Spain/CN has no direct benefit than having them in Berlin/Iceland/Tokyo/Los Angeles when it comes to timezone impact on other region.

Sadly, your point really doesn't make any sense, unless you're being subjective to your own preferred regions/meridians

Another example: 12pm Shanghai (the most probable local time when the Grand Final will start) is 9pm in Los Angeles, while it is 6am in Berlin and 5am in London. For the Madrid Masters you'd want to be in Europe or Pacific & China. For the Shanghai Masters you'd want to be in Americas or Pacific & China. Much like every other Masters until now.. 1 region usually gets fucked. It's just how timezones work

People really need to figure out the fact that in an eSports that wants to have tournaments in different regions of the world, there'll be some of them that will be hard to watch live, regardless of how they feel about it. This has been the same in CS as well.... you don't get to watch everything live, its just the way it is

nah, the only one being soft here is you, since the truth hurts your little feelings.

Most eSports have more breaks in between competitions, on top of the fact that not all competitions are mandatory to attend to (hence giving teams the latitude to skip some), while still gaining enough circuit points to attend their respective majors. Even League, the most similar eSports schedule to Valorant, has bigger breaks between splits. That's why League of Legends schedule goes through virtually the full 12 months of the year, there isn't a 4 month off slapped at the end of the season.

At this point I'm not sure if you're doubling down to prove that you got some stupid macho bravado (which clearly you don't since simple facts hurt your feelings), or if you're this much of an idiot to not even be able to tell the truth from simple data sets.

what did nitr0 say that can be considered "shit on Valorant" ? All the stuff that I saw was either positive or neutral (but maybe I'm missing something?)

Athlete work year around

And there's been complaints about burnout and injury proneness from both athletes and coaches, where the respective schedule is crunched (See football/soccer, this is a widely discussed issue for the last few years). Also, your usual athlete is paid way more than your regular esport player, in order to "pay off" that loss of time and burnout.

Workers for business work year around

Complains about burnout and need for more time off exist in this as well, with some regions (parts of Europe) addressing this by offering more PTO and family time.

theres people that work in oil rigs that work all day and put 10x effort that a gamer does bro

These people are also the ones that have the most time off between jobs, working a few months a the time then having time off, to avoid that burnout (even though it is still prevalent). Oil rig workers usually complain about not having enough time to spend with family, but they're offset by the pay. Also, oil rig jobs pay way more than your regular esports salary.

You're only doubling down with stupid takes that underline and prove my point.

Anything else?

wut? you make no sense. it is impossible to have a timezone that caters to all 4 regions, that's just not how things work, geographically speaking.

eg: 12pm Spain = 3am Los Angeles

you need to go back to school

posted 8 months ago

Yep, my approach to the VCT would be similar to yours. And if there's time-related issues, they could still remove the LCQ and simply have Champs be filled by teams based on the circuit points.

posted 8 months ago

Have you ever heard of burnout? It's applicable to any type of job that requires excessive condensation of efforts, mentally speaking, over a period of time. No way you can be this stupid to not understand his point

posted 8 months ago

didn't he prove himself with 100T at international event (Masters) ?

posted 8 months ago

The idea of Kick Off tournament is stupid as hell. Put on top of it that it's a qualifier for Masters is even more stupid. Not sure what the need to replicate LOCK//IN (which was a way to present the partnered teams) in 2024 is..... it makes 0 sense

isn't there an indoor arena next to the Singapore National Stadium?

There's a decent amount of players, yes. I doubt it's comparable to Europe tho

idk if I'd call him a raze main... it was more out of necessity, cuz TenZ couldn't do it. Phoenix main? sure. Sage main? sure. Skye main? sure

Also, unfortunately, I doubt we'll have the chance to see him again in pro scene any time soon.

CounterStrike majors have been super popular since the early 2000s (WorldCyberGames, ESWC, etc). The popularity between the two is not even close, you can verify by asking people that don't actually follow gaming, which game they have heard of.

posted 8 months ago

it was fnatic's map pick.. are you trying to prove his point?

posted 8 months ago

You gotta love Reyna in rank with 0 FK and 1 first engagement the entire match... yay is probably right that he's bad

posted 8 months ago

Because scheduling. There's only enough time slot available for 2 matches to be single day events, so they always choose the last 2 matches of the tournament. UF and LR3 are played on the same day.

What's weird to me is that people don't realize that he made the same mistakes in crucial maps both in Tokyo (vs PRX on Lotus) and Champs this year (vs LOUD on Haven). I hope him and his coaching staff does and fixes those mistakes (eg: overextending and taking unnecessary aim battles in disadvantageous positions against players that have similar aim level), because he actually lost quite a few rounds in very important deciding maps. Still a great potential player, but sometimes decision making is not at the level of his aim.

His reaction and answer to the media question was fair and probably the right way to approach it, because he's not the best duelist in the game.

So give them ban advantage, and then a replay chance? wut?

posted 8 months ago

is there a bracket reset for the grand finals of champs

What does this even mean? The team that makes it to the GF from the Upper Bracket has an advantage of being the only one banning maps.

posted 8 months ago

if LOUD wins this Champs they'll be the most dominant team in Val history, not fnatic.

This.. in important matches these 2 players are actually carrying the team

lmao, what? this has happened every match, with every single team. there's no info provided to any teams

some ppl just want to be retarded it seems, or you're trolling really hard

idk what game you're watching, but Leo's strength does not come from his aim, but rather from his positioning, timing and decision making in general, his game awareness is world class (not saying that his aim is bad, but to rate him that high on pure aim is just bs)

I'm willing to bet that no Riot resources are actually used for the development of the mobile version, that's only Tencent

posted 8 months ago

Before the DRX match, most people/analysts were saying that it was the most in-form team this event. Does that answer your question?

Regardless of who comes from lower bracket, and regardless of who wins, at this point EG is a top3 team for 2023. After the top2 Tokyo and now Top3 Champs, there's simply no way around it

CSGO has 11 years... it launched in 2021 lil bro

its going to be quite bad

No, it won't. Also, it won't be a hurricane by the time it reaches LA, but rather a tropical storm. Most impact that could occur is power outages.

I highly doubt it, considering how Riot approached the something situation. He's considered EMEA import even though nothing from his background has to do with EMEA. He's from Vladivostok, the epitome of Asian Russian (you can't really get more South East Asian than Vladivostok in Russia), considering Russia is an Eurasian country. They chose to make him EMEA based on a arbitrary reason, which seems to be that you can only have 1 classification, hence Derke would more than likely have to be one or the other, which would be Finnish.

You cannot have primary residence in two different countries. I can have 2 different passports and speak 2 different languages and fluent level (which I do), that still makes me Romanian, since that's where I was born and raised. My kids, both born and currently raised in Los Angeles, are both Americans, regardless of what I am, where I came from, what language is the first one they learned at home or if they have both US and Romanian passports.

You're confused on how things are classified.

I don't have the exact answer (otherwise I'd be super rich and not have "the time" to reply to you), but it's probably some combination of:
-human livable property in densely populated areas
-underdeveloped land in future potentially interest areas
-shares/stocks in health care & bio/climate stocks
-shares in tech/AI companies (maybe even some crypto if your risk potential can take it)
-and a small amount of high yield saving accounts/money markets for situations where you need available paper on-hand, while still having the money do work for you.

gold is losing value against other assets that can act as a better form of SoV. try finding another asset, the times of gold are slowly going away. The problem that you're trying to solve is a real problem indeed, but gold is not the solution. Precious metals overall have had a bad run for the last 6-8 years and are continuously losing share with younger generations

TIL that US has a national cricket team... lol thank you

and most players in American team are non resident Indians

Also, this is wrong. With an easy google search you can see that as of 2022, all cricket players on the American national team are either born in US to foreign parents or are US Residents. Your entire argument falls apart using this example.

Derke is born and raised in Finland, that makes him Finnish, regardless of his ancestry.

he was born and lives in finland

That makes him Finnish, with Russian descent

hmm... no it's not

the easiest way to display this is actually in the last few days.

EG vs EDG
LOUD vs FNATIC

Both matches same exact mirror comp, but:
different playstyles
different mid-rounding
different tactical approaches
different executions

Compare this with Split, where you can pick pretty much any agent comp, buy judges and win the map. Some ppl confuse tactical versatility of a map with what agent comp is being used. When quality Valorant is involved, Ascent is one of the most versatile maps to play, even with the same mirror comps.

Also let's be serious, the Ascent default comp is one of the best mid-rounding comp on any single map in the game. Some ppl are just tactically retarded it seems...

posted 8 months ago

wut? you're braindead then, if you can't figure out the multitude of ways to play and mid-round Ascent.

I'd rather watch 10 Ascent matches between quality teams and same exact mirror comps where so many different approaches can be employed, than 2 matches of Split or Fracture with 4 different comps where everything still looks the same way, no matter what you do.

asking for Ascent to be removed is pretty much admitting that you're tactically low skilled

posted 8 months ago

Ascent offers one of the most versatile styles, especially with good mid-rounding, even with the same fucking comp. You have no clue what you're saying. Who cares if you see the same comp when you can actually play it in so many different ways?

I swear, some ppl are just dumb and don't understand high quality map design and potential play

posted 8 months ago

removing one of their best designed maps would be a braindead decision by Riot. u waffling hard

who cares that the same comp is mainly used? shit is fun to watch and play, period

posted 8 months ago

fracture is a snooze-fest to watch, much like split

posted 8 months ago

you misspelled fracture. pearl has 2 orbs

posted 8 months ago

There's no way people complain about Ascent, one of the best designed maps and one of the most enjoyable to watch/play. Shitty map designs need to be removed, so Fracture and Pearl are well deserved to be removed. Split should be next.... just horrible designs.
