IDK about y'all but I like the idea behind this format. The kick-off tourney+Masters Madrid will be a fast and exciting start to the season, and getting rid of LCQ and using championship points to qualify for champions makes it so that teams who were consistently great don't get fucked over by a team on a random hot streak, it rewards consistency. The 2 splits + Masters Shanghai seems like a very dense block of the schedule, but the relatively few international tournaments is a good thing, it allows the matchups that rarely happen to be even more hyped. If we saw FNC vs Loud every week we'd get sick of it, but bc it only happens like twice every few months everyone gets excited.

They should just have done: Split 1, Masters, Split 2, Masters, LCQ, Champions. They system they had worked, they are overcomplicating things

I think LCQ should of been abolished, this year showed that the LCQ teams might just be a step behind but who knows. I dont like how time crunched the schedule is though, it will be impossible to watch even half the games and now we have overlapping events. I also think most dont want another kickoff tournament like this year unless the format is significantly better. Overall another L from Rito when it comes to scheduling.

adding that years ascension winner to LCQ would make it a lot better I think

At least Spain/CN have timezone that caters to 3/4 region.

wut? you make no sense. it is impossible to have a timezone that caters to all 4 regions, that's just not how things work, geographically speaking.

eg: 12pm Spain = 3am Los Angeles

you need to go back to school

Most timezones technically "cater" to the other 2-3 quarters of the globe, when it comes to being able to view events FYI. The exact opposite meridians from the source of origin are always "uncatarable" to, while based on population density, some other meridian regions are impacted as well.

Simple terms: Having the events in Spain/CN has no direct benefit than having them in Berlin/Iceland/Tokyo/Los Angeles when it comes to timezone impact on other region.

Sadly, your point really doesn't make any sense, unless you're being subjective to your own preferred regions/meridians

Another example: 12pm Shanghai (the most probable local time when the Grand Final will start) is 9pm in Los Angeles, while it is 6am in Berlin and 5am in London. For the Madrid Masters you'd want to be in Europe or Pacific & China. For the Shanghai Masters you'd want to be in Americas or Pacific & China. Much like every other Masters until now.. 1 region usually gets fucked. It's just how timezones work

People really need to figure out the fact that in an eSports that wants to have tournaments in different regions of the world, there'll be some of them that will be hard to watch live, regardless of how they feel about it. This has been the same in CS as well.... you don't get to watch everything live, its just the way it is
