Leviatán has welcomed Agustin "nzr" Ibarra to the roster, the teams first signing since being accepted into the America's League.

https://twitter.com/LeviatanGG/status/1582874186829004800

nzr enters the roster from FURIA, a well known team within the Brazilian region. Although the tough competition in the Challenger stages, they managed to keep a top 4 placement throughout all the stages and managed to accumulate enough points to qualify for the South American LCQ. In the SA LCQ, FURIA made a strong run sweeping FUSION and 9z Team to get to the finals where they met the Latin American Giant KRÜ Esports. Although they lost 3-0 to KRÜ, they were given another opportunity in the lower bracket where they would sweep fellow Brazilian team TBK Esports to qualify for champions. Unfortunately, their Champions run didn't last long as the team was eliminated in the group stage at the hands of DRX than FNATIC in back to back series.

Leviatán on the other hand was a top performer in the Latin American region placing in the top 2 at every event next to KRÜ. After multiple losses to KRÜ throughout the year they finally overcame their kryptonite and swept them 3-0 to qualify for Masters: Copenhagen. In Copenhagen, they were eliminated in the group stage with a 1-2 record with their only win being the North American youngsters in XSET. Even with their early exit at Masters, they were able to qualify for champions due to their consistent results through the year. At champions they shocked the world defeating Team Liquid and APAC powerhouse Paper Rex in a 2-0 fashion. After qualifying for the playoffs in the top seed of Group A they were unable to find a win, losing to eventual champions LOUD and Copenhagen winners FunPlus Phoenix in consecutive matches.

This move is the first signing that Leviatán has made since it was announced that they would be representing Latin America in the America's League.

The Leviatán roster is currently:

  • Vicente "Tacolilla" Compagnon
  • Francisco "kiNgg" Aravena
  • Agustin "nzr" Ibarra
  • Fabian "Shyy" Usnayo
  • Rodrigo "Onur" Dalmagro (Coach)
  • Martin "BeTony" Bourre (Assistant Coach)

The partnership likely helps the KOI side more, they both get wins out of the partnerships in LEC and VCT respectively. Plus its more $$ for KOI to work with and build a better roster.

KOI and Rogue have joined forces to play in the LEC and VCT as a combined team under the KOI title.

https://twitter.com/KOI/status/1578111285010780160

The Spanish team was founded in December of 2021 by LVP caster Ibai Llanos and FC Barcelona player Gerard Piqué and have since found success in the LVP and VCT. Upon their entrance to the LVP in December of 2021, KOI has had consistent results placing top four at LVP 2022 Spring Season and Playoffs as well as Summer playoffs. Rogue on the other hand plays in the LEC, League of Legends top league in the European region where they have consistently boasted top three results through 2021 and 2022. Most notably their placements at LEC 2021 and 2022 Spring and Summer playoffs.

Shortly after KOI’s entrance to LVP, they entered the 2022 VCT season where they signed the UCAM Toikers roster. The roster took on VCT EU S1 where they made a run to the quarterfinals but ultimately lost at the hands of Vitality. After their elimination in VCT, they entered VRL: Spain where in their first split they ended with a 6-3 record securing them a spot in playoffs and a 1 round BYE to the semifinals. Unfortunately they fell short with a 3-2 loss at the hands of eventual winner Rebels Gaming. They then played in the next split of VRL Spain but could not replicate their success going 5-13 in groups and forcing them to play in the demotion tournament. In demotion they took a 3-1 victory over Real Betis which secured them, at minimum, a spot in the next season's VRL Split. But with KOI’s partnership with Riot for the 2023 league, the VRL Spain slot has now become open.

Rogue will now enter the VCT for the first time with KOI playing in the EMEA league and will continue to compete in the LEC 2023 season. While this partnership remains pending approval from riot games, they are confident it will pass through.

KOI is currently playing in one of EMEA’s VCT OFF//SEASON events, the Crossfire Cup. They play their decider match against UCAM Toikers in Group C at 7:00 p.m. CEST.

KOI's Roster is currently:

  • Ramses "Famsii" Koivukangas
  • Martin "MAGNUM" Penkov
  • Ladislav "Sacake" Sachr
  • Oskar "PHYRN" Palmqvist
  • Alberto "neptuNo" González
  • "ThoR" (Substitute)
  • Gabriel "Shrew" Gessle (Inactive)
  • Antonio "Aska" (Head Coach)
  • Sergio "sikako" Rodriguez (Assistant Coach)

An error was made with the pictures which ended up with most of SEN being removed. Others that don't have it up don't have media kits/permission to use it.

They may re-enter with a new roster but if they are not guaranteed a T2 spot or are worried about the Tier 2 scene which many teams are, it makes sense for them to leave and allow the players to find new options.

After this article was written, T1 confirmed that they will continue to compete in North America and will NOT move back to Korea.

T1 has just announced the transfer of Rahul “curry” Nemani to Cloud9 and picked up Son “xeta” Seon-ho and Yoon “Autumn” Eu-ddeum from Cloud9.

xeta announcment

Autumn announcement

curry announcement

These pickups come after rumours of T1 parting ways with their North American roster and moving back to Korea to compete began.

xeta and Autumn have been with Cloud9 since the Cloud9 Korea roster. During their time on Cloud9 Korea they were known as a top team in the region placing top 4 at a multitude of events like the Huya Summer Festival, Clan Battle A2 and a close loss to Vision Strikers at First Strike: Korea. After this loss xeta and Autumn were moved to North America to compete with the main Cloud9 roster. During their time on the main roster, Cloud9 was able to find success at events like NSG Summer Championship, Knights VALORAMPAGE and the North American LCQ. With their win at LCQ, it qualified the team for VCT Champions, where they took a top 8 finish to end their 2021 season. They looked to replicate the same success in the first stage of NA VCT but fell short to eventual NA representatives OpTic Gaming and The Guard.

T1 and curry on the other team were not able to find any success in 2021 or early 2022 placing top 8 at NA stage 1 and 2 Challengers in 2021 and top 24 at NA Stage 1 Challengers in 2022. Their only notable win as a team is winning the NSG Summer — Open 2 over Knights Academy.

With these trades T1 are looking toward the next year of VCT Competition, The newly formed Cloud9 roster will look forward to their next match in the group stage against OpTic on Sunday, May 22nd at 4:00 pm EDT.

T1’s roster is currently:

  • Joshua “steel” Nissan
  • Zander “thwifo” Kim
  • Son “xeta” Seon-ho (손선호)
  • Josh “pwny” VanGorder
  • Yoon “Autumn” Eu-ddeum (윤으뜸) (Head coach)
  • Dakota “Stunner” MacLeod (Assistant coach)

In addition, the new Cloud9 roster is:

  • Anthony “vanity” Malaspina
  • Rahul “curry” Nemani
  • Erick “Xeppaa” Bach
  • Nathan “leaf” Orf
  • Mitch “mitch” Semago
  • James “JamezIRL” Macaulay (Coach)

No clue as of now. Maybe more into the future. Gambit most liekly waiting out this conflict as there are no open EU orgs entering. If an org was to enter it could be the likes of ENCE, Heroic, maybe forze returns.
