Thank God they didn't choke again 😭😭
Nt man, you guys played close game, will be watching next week
I've had enough of comebacks man 😭😭😭
Ain't gonna lie tho he's more import than japanese. Just take a look at their comms, follow scarz observe him and you will understand what I'm talking about.
Anthem is actually good even back in dfm I think, they just need to take the iglbrole off of him because it's clearly hampering his performance imo
My heart just sank when anthem did that 😭
Nt BCS
Sayaplayer better wake up now because if either Muto or BRIAN sleeps this team is getting sweep lol
FL 2 -0 IGZ
MRG 2 - 1 RID
LETSGO ABSOL
Do your magic Pirateflag 🔥🔥🔥🔥
BCS 2 - 1 SZ
Scarz, whatever this org does the scene barely benefited from it, except that one time when they almost won ascension. 4 iterations of import rosters and they're not stopping, it's as if this team hates the scene and doing all this out of spite.
Fadezis made me think he's the problem, but I was clearly wrong , it's the whole division playing pretend that's the problem.
Nah you can tell the views are declining.
Last year non japanese match that's not prx or geng will get you 20k on YouTube.
Now it's just 15k iirc
But DFM really saved the views this time tho.
Gyen will fire all cylinders on map 1
Gyen sleeps but Dfm will pick up the pace in map 2
Last map goes OT
I hope DFM can make it close at the very least
I mean I can content a little knowing local players are gradually replacing imports naturally. this split alone is much better compared to last year lol
Sry, I forgot to add "by APAC standards". In other region maybe it's common, but in Asia Jp is definitely an anomaly imo
He's saying Jp imports a lot(by Apac standards) . I don't like this situation too. Glad I got to see Zeta AC vs Reject tho, I believe this match will serve as a wake up call to Jp orgs to develop their own players instead of taking shortcuts
Ok, Murash is really driving Jp viewerships lol
Can't wait to see Murash vs Riddle because this match essentially pits 2 streamers into one match.
They need to tap into the countries talent, it should've been a priority imo.
TS is marketed as " PH representative ", if the " PH representative " fielded only 2 PH on the team that's not a great look for TS. Regional identity in APAC is strong imo, doing this is just a slap in the face for the fans imo.
If anything GE proved that all TS needs to do is to wake up and picked better PH players.
I liked watching his reaction to G2 Mimi lol
Looking at how the interest in the game "regressed" is sad tbh.
Does Superbuss only stream on SOOP for watchparty purposes or full time SOOP streamer now? After the SOOP deal ends, they should get Superbuss and popular streamers to watchparty again to reignite the interest imo
I mean, compared to everyone on the APAC Tier 1 PRX is probably the Org with the least commitment out of the 10 main teams.
the makers here " announced " themselves through " viewerships ". The human power only worked at the beginning or when there's a change in Organizers e.g RAGE being replaced by Nippon TV. At the end of the day, the leverage RAGE or Nippon TV have still derived from the viewers, not the organizers
That just means Chinese revenue are big enough to justify a separate region.
He's saying your fixation on competitveness is short sighted and brings down Riot's Valorant division sooner or later.
Riot still relies a lot on Chinese money, you'd think riot would cut off their main revenue?
This is braindead take, long story short, regardless of who and why sponsorships from certain companies happen because they are looking for exposures, doesn't matter who's running the event as long as it's popular, it's bound to attract sponsors.
They probably don't mind. But they really need to fill the venue tho. SEA T2 scene is already in not a good spot rn, and empty crowds on masters Bangkok? Yeah, Riot will leave the region asap.
Each representatives needs to carry their own weigh i.e gather enough viewers to gain sponsors. Gathering SEA viewership will not gather enough relevant sponsors. Why?
https://liquipedia.net/valorant/VCL/2024/Japan/Split_2
Take a look at their sponsors. Notice how except ZOWIE and Yamaha most of these are domestic companies? When we're talking about sponsorships domestic companies reign supreme ( tbf it really just depends on how many sponsors coming from local vs outside , but it's easier to attract local sponsors). All of these companies are here because of masive domestic viewerships.
Sure, pooling your viewership means your pooled peak viewership will be 1/3 of Jp's peak viewership (that's not how peak viewership works but let's just say for the sake of argument) , it just meant that each subregions except ID and TH cannot survive on their own, meaning Riot was correct for merging the region.
Even TH and ID with that "massive " views didn't attract many sponsors. What makes you think others can survive relying on just Riot's money?
Jp earned their privileges for their commitment to the scene, stop acting like Riot intentionally favored just because.
That stats only proved my point that SEA only becomes big when it's grand finals. Also the views are accumulated, meaning that's not a purely Indonesian viewerships, I think you should be aware of this but I'm saying just in case.
It doesn't help that on " Recent tournament news " section you have " Korean, Japanese viewers remain crucial as Sin Prisa Gaming wins VCT 2024: Ascension Pacific "and your popular Channels by Peak viewers being Valorant Japan
Japan's numerous sponsors come from their massive viewership. If Japan only averages like 10k every match only one or two sponsors would be willing to stay so clearly it's not enough.
Which split? Because even with the help of mall visitors surely you're not seriously thinking that's actually big? You better hope that Masters Bangkok reignites the scene because pretty sure Riot just wants a different location for Masters.
Meatpien leaves Delight.
Omg for bettervlr users opening this thread must be horrible lol
He's meant "they" as in " Navi"
Shit so it's most likely true that he still struggles with Japanese. If my memory serves me correct , he was more vocal back when Scarz is an English speaking roster. His voice is easy to remember so I can tell when the comms in Scarz vs CGZ there's little comms from him
That's just 90% of VLR in general, they don't care about T2 matches
I guess the fanbase should show they care by watching the game , but they don't, if Riot dissolves the scene because fans show no appreciation then the fans shouldn't complain.
I mean I don't really care at this point, because I know that Riot needs Japan for APAC more than Japan needs APAC.
This is me with Scarz treating Satwoshi and fielding 3 imports, I was stopped by Zepher and Zepher isn't Meiy..
Also do you know something about Yoshii's Japanese? I watched their vods the other day and I think his Japanese is kinda horrible for someone who's been on a Japanese team for 3 years
I mean I'm just happy that DFM and gyen shows up
Free pass? Japan gets a free pass because we can sustain ourselves. Jp viewership regularly surpasses T1 EMEA while ID and TH struggles to reach 10k except lower finals or grand Finals. Riot isn't stupid enough to punish Japan by adding another region into the scene or merge Japan with the rest of SEA. Doing that is just bad business anyways.
Last year was a problem of too many cooks in the kitchen.
This year, depends on when Johnta will arrive to Korea is a problem of Communication issues Imo. Get Johnta to Korea , and Carlao or XQQ will be removed fr.
Misinformation. They have 3 coaches and one analyst. Carlao or XQQ are covering Johnta. Johnta come to Korea, Carlao or XQQ will be removed frfr
They legit need to drag Johnta's ass to Korea now frfr
