They are being updated manually whilst the map is ongoing, but when the map is finished, vlr website makes an API query call to some Riot server and parses the match report automatically to accurately update the kills, deaths and assists etc.

That's weird, I prefer greek wines over french wines, feta and halloumi(I consider cypriots to be of greek culture) are awesome, breads wouldn't know.

I agree, but you also can't expect the toxicity to be gone overnight. Humans are fundamentally shit, it's already amazing that majority of 12 year olds today find the usage of slurs cringe. This sort of societal change takes generations to take hold of in my opinion

He was a league of legends pro player, no shit he would prefer LoL over Dota2

You guys haven't played online games a decade ago. Back then homophobic, racist and sexist slurs were much more common because there was no enforcement whatsoever from game developers. I remember being 11 years old and unironically using the n-word like there was no tomorrow. Legit if somebody dug up my gaming past, I could easily be cancelled today.

Essentially, the toxicity in online video games that exists today has got nothing on the toxicity that existed 10 years ago.

As long as you are not being racist/xenophobic/sexist, then you are not really breaking any of the site rules and anything can go in terms of posts tbh.

I don't get this game sometimes man, yesterday and even at the beginning of today against NiP, Vitality play looked like dogshit. Heretics, on the other hand, up until yesterday's loss looked like a tier 1 team again, but right now they look nowhere close to tier 1. It's like individual match-ups are just like like League of Legends champions, teams just like champs can counter each other specifically and it's impossible to get an accurate view by comparing indirect relationships.

It's as if Vitality have warmed up during their game against NiP while Heretics are looking as if they haven't done their DM warmup routines.

Vitality need to disband and rebuild the roster from scratch for 2022, this ain't it man

amilwa is also the new IGL for heretics, who seems to be better at it than lowell. Small decrease in ACS on sova whilst getting much better IGLing is a nothingburger.

That's my thinking too(or you can call it copium) with all this time they have for practice until EMEA tournament and a bootcamp that they are gonna have in 1 weeks time. Otherwise, I will have to eat my words :D

posted about 2 years ago

They were, pyth only benched himself in the middle of June. This caused a cascade effect of mixwell picking up a new role and G2 wasting a week or two doing trials to find keloqz. G2 with keloqz and without keloqz were fundamentally two different teams as it wasn't a single player change, but it also made significant changes to the roles of other players within the team.

posted about 2 years ago

Yes, exactly. You can argue if you like wasting your time, but your particular statement and subsequently the opinions around it are subjective(sprinkled in with hype from NA Reykjavik teams) as there is currently very little objective evidence around it to settle the matter. You can come back to this matter after the upcoming EMEA tournament, but right now it's all just speculation.

And besides, you must realise that there is very little you can do to change what the 0/8ters actually post until 2/4 TR teams qualify for Berlin. In that case it will be EU who is trash and TR > EMEA.

Yeah I don't think anybody is watching pokimane for skilled gameplay or entertaining streams.

I think it's all about them succulent feet

Yeah, but there is no time left for that. If Vitality lose today/tomorrow/the day after, that's it, they are not playing until 2022. And besides, I don't think that Vitality's problem is the 5th player, I think the entire core is flawed. Either foreigners or the frenchies need to go, and because Vitality is a French org I think it is most likely that they are going to drop the current roster entirely and just rebuild with only French speakers. When I see them play, they all look so lost as if they had bad comms, crappy teamwork and coordination and stuff like that and this might be partly due to French players having to comm in English.

I think it is also the best for both vakk and cender if they left and joined another core, perhaps revive nolpenki(or upgrade to nol septyni) with the likes of krea6on, dreamas, boo, l0udly, feqew and even miniboo maybe and give this grind another go for 2022.

At this point they dodged a bullet, OG's issues start with the crappy management of Valolrante division

Because US federal enforcement agencies don't have jurisdiction in Brazil?

posted about 2 years ago

Frankfurt servers are where all wannabe valorant pro players play who are stuck in gold 2 because of "bad team".

Switch to Paris, Madrid or London and there it is much more casual, but a lot of times you will get stacks who speak little English.

posted about 2 years ago

Hoping miniboo can improve over the next 6 months as he did choke yesterday against OG

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah I get that, just saying that m5 organisation should get "dolbaeb organisation" status because of shit like "we know u are under 16 u dont need a server switch"

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah that's the issue, if you miss Berlin, you basically don't get to play officials until 2022.

Really hope that some 3rd party can organise tournaments in EU alongside Riot's Masters Champions so that these smaller teams with potential could keep themselves busy and test themselves in official matches.

That's why I am worried that all these orgs are gonna be even more prone to dropping entire rosters and building new teams from scratch even if there is significant potential in current rosters. Imagine how many 15 year olds will be turning 16 in the next 6 months that could become new tier 1 players.

posted about 2 years ago

Could you make a seperate thread about this with necessary translations? This is scandalous and m5 org should ridiculed for this behaviour.

posted about 2 years ago

yeah, brought out a sova. If he can play it decently against no poaching that would allow heretics to come back from being 0-1 behind, then I will take my words back.

But so far it's only proving my point - lowel playing more agents is one of the things that heretics need as it seems to be actually working, at least against this no poach team

phoenix bad hehehe

posted about 2 years ago

And a killjoy against freya, but the rest of the games that he played in the past 90 days were all sage.

posted about 2 years ago

IGL or coaching is the problem with this roster, not the players imo - well except for lowell as he seems incapable of playing any other agent besides sage.

posted about 2 years ago

If Vitality doesn't qualify for EMEA, then in my opinion they are very likely to revamp the roster by dropping non French speakers and go full French. There are many French speaking players who are not signed by big orgs and are showing very good results in these qualifiers. Very possible that Vitality could be the key organisation to design Valorant's first French super team(like LDLC, Titan and others in early CS:GO era).

And I hope that vakk and cender can find decent new homes or perhaps 2022 see a proper org funding a full lithuanian roster

posted about 2 years ago

"gydom galva" in lithuanian translates to "(we) treat (somebody's) head".

Contextually has a meaning of attempting to "cure stupidity" or can be used as an insult to suggest that another person is an r-word(if the verb is changed to "gydyk")

posted about 2 years ago

OG management definitely needs to "gydom galva" of theirs due to all their decisions over past few months

posted about 2 years ago

Looks like OG management literally need to "Treat Head"(literal translation of Gydom Galva) of theirs due to the decisions that they executed over the past few months. From fucking over fizzy and shed, to kicking their head coach just mere days before the final qualifiers to Berlin LAN which has a domino effect of them not playing any valorant officials until 2022 minimum.

It is a bit concerning for me though that they did this roster move shortly before Challengers 2 qualifiers, while Shalaby was playing the LAN in Madrid. Makes me wonder how much actual pracc did they have with this new roster, cuz if Vitality fuck up in 2 weeks, that's it - they out for a long time.

posted about 2 years ago

I think this makes sense, Vitality has had a problem of not having a proper duelist for this entire time since Masters 2 qualifiers. First it was bramz, then they passed the baton to vakk. Now it seems Shalahabibi will be the dedicated duelist, while vakk and bramz will switch to their preferred roles.

I think it is more likely that redditors got things confused to be honest.

That doesn't mean, that the main event being a local event is a bad idea, they just should finance the accommodation of players, that are orgless/sponsorless. Or limit the main event to just RO8 or RO8 + non-seeding groups.

I agree with that completely, if TO finances the accommodation and travel of players who can't afford it, then it is a great idea to have a LAN stage even during open qualifier stage. However, if players have to pay out of pocket to attend LAN for open qualifiers(where let's be real, they are most likely paying to lose), then it is a stupid idea to have LAN stage during open qualifiers. I am indeed sceptical that TO would finance the travel and accommodation of players that would play in open qualifiers as the logistics of that are difficult to say the least + they would have to spend a significant amount of time to sift through fraudulent claims.

I think right now the question is whether it is truly a LAN stage during open qualifiers or whether there is a LAN stage only during the main event. I think everybody here would agree that a LAN event is a must for main stage event.

Hm, either reddit is full of shit or Liquipedia contributors have got their info wrong. People on reddit are legit talking as if open qualifiers were played on LAN and some player had to stop playing in open qualifiers because travel and accommodation to Seoul is expensive
