If that's the case, then BR should be integrated into LATAM. There is no reason for them to have separate slots from the rest of South America either

Was G2 bootcamp a waste of time or did it actually make a significant difference? Gonna be interesting to see

No lower bracket finals is something that Korean tournament organisers love since Starcraft days. Something something about making final games be very high stake, but probably in reality it's just being stock in old ways.

Apparently no lower bracket finals is also justified by the fact that Korea is doing advanced seeding matches(the whole shtick about group stages at very beginning etc.)

posted about 2 years ago

Surprised they have only dropped lowkii so far

posted about 2 years ago

That might be the case, but I think we will not know for sure until there is full transparency from organisers. Which will probably never happen :D

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah I'm thinking that they might've done a pool draw, but who knows at this point. The final point I'm trying to convey through my posts is that if I was an Acend fan, I would be complaining and saying things like G2 bias etc, but as a G2 supporter this couldn't have gone any better.

posted about 2 years ago

That's my point, why is G2 playing against objectively worse EU seeds than Acend is.

The only point where Acend has harder bracket is with Eu seed. Acend has 3 and 5 and G2 has 4 and 6. But in practice there is not a lot of difference. (This is the part that I don’t understand, but is not that relevant)

It is very relevant in my opinion. Acend as a winner in Challengers 1 Grand Finals is playing the winner of Challengers 2 Grand Finals, while G2 as a loser of Challengers 1 Grand Finals is playing the loser of Challengers 2 Grand Finals. It should have been the winner of Challengers 1 Grand Finals playing the loser of Challengers 2 Grand Finals to make proper sense. In a nutshell, currently there is no proper seeding reward for Acend who overcame G2 in Challengers 1 Grand Finals.

Not that I'm complaining, just pointing things out, as it still shows that either F4U or Riot Games EU are still like headless chickens when it comes to executing the seeds.

How the hell did G2 get an easier bracket than Acend?

In the summer camp, had to leave for it 5am today in the morning.

If it was Team Finest vs PACT, then there would be no bs like this. /s

For real though, Dreamhack is probably doing their best to make sure that Riot puts a ban on third parties hosting Valorant tournaments with unprofessionalism like this

Damn, you really need to work on your reading comprehension

I think they are trying really hard to make people from USA look real retarded.

posted about 2 years ago

yes but the joke is that even if they have a lot of potential, no one will sign them because 1) they are lithuanian 5 stack, 2) esports orgs are non existent in the country. Therefore, the guys are only playing in this mix just to get poached by t1 orgs

This talented roster is again one step closer to eventually being signed by 'UAB Girteka' - leaders of European Haulage Sector and experts in logistics

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah I agree with you, but there is a commercial aspect in all of this, which trumps everything from Riot's perspective. Unlucky really, hopefully Gambit/G2/Acend can overcome all this circuit bs by showing top form in Berlin and then subsequently LCQ.

posted about 2 years ago

meh, that's even better for them then. Regardless, they are not missing much. Of course it's shit for other EMEA teams, but it is what it is, unfortunately.

posted about 2 years ago

Fnatic honeymoon wore off + they slacked with their preparation for masters 3 after finishing the LAN in Reykjavik + Other teams in EMEA had an additional month to watch Fnatic demos and analyze their playstyle + Fnatic were unsuccessful at adopting a different playstyle to counter the antistrats created specifically against them by other EU teams.

Fnatic deserve to have failed to qualify for Berlin, now they have time to work hard for LCQ.

He got banned for having an antisemitic moment

They actually would have a chance against NA's top 3. Guild have consistently been getting better

posted about 2 years ago

Somebody send this to 'UAB GIRTEKA' direktor so that he would sign this talented roster and strengthen the organisation's position in European Haulage sector as the leaders in logistics

posted about 2 years ago

oh btw Marius 'loudly' Zilinskas has now earned enough to buy a new cow for his farm

posted about 2 years ago

'UAB Girteka' should sign this talented roster

posted about 2 years ago

I think it has more to do with the fact that teams in one month can be top 2, but the other month if they slack on pracc/opponent VOD review, they can as easily fall outside top10 the next month.

That's why Sentinels drop maps in NA and Fnatic fail to qualify for EMEA tournament in EU. EU teams had 2 months to watch Fnatic and analyze Fnatic demos from Reykjavik, while Fnatic only really practised for a month because they took a break after Reykjavik.

posted about 2 years ago

Marius 'l0udly' Zilinskas with this win is now one step closer to buying a new high yield milk producing cow for his farm

posted about 2 years ago

Probably a tactical move by Gambit to play4fun and appear as a scrimbux team, but then actually get serious for EMEA games

posted about 2 years ago

Oh you play in NA, yeah that place is much more connection based, so you gotta start asslicking some prominent people in order to get noticed

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah, mixes are usually formed through connections unfortunately. Gonna have to make some friends in radiant, which is really luck dependant too :/

posted about 2 years ago

It's not like Riot's gonna have qualifiers for you to play in until 2022. Is the age restriction also present in this dreamhack tournament? Could play for mixes in these third party tournaments until you have few months before you turn 16, then if you are indeed a borderline 16yo talent t2/low tier 1 teams will already have an eye on you

Yeah, but that's the issue. Right now they are out of tier 1 competition until 2022 and if I was the org I would be seriously thinking about a French superteam rebuild for 2022. At this point it is simply too risky to keep investing in the current core that keeps having constant issues from qualifying to tournaments that match their potential. The way I see it, it's either the internationals needing to go or the Frenchies who struggle to speak in English and since Vitality is a French org it only makes sense for them to fully embrace going French.

posted about 2 years ago

They are in prime position to build a French super team. I don't think having international-french mix is working out for this org. Honestly, when I see them play, I see obvious fails that could be caused by miscommunication and my theory is that the French speaking players are struggling to comm in English

Upvote/Downvote system is the worst thing to have on a forum. Fuck Reddit for making it mainstream on social media

And thanks to this comment, Derke hitus sisu perkele button and puts Fnatic on 10 rounds and probably wins Haven for his team

Derke is whiffing all good opportunities, on Haven at least

EMEA main event for Berlin starts on August 12th, but G2 along with Acend, SMB and Gambit have qualified straight for the round 2 in upper bracket. Therefore, it's likely that their first game is gonna be on August 14th/August 15th. Basically, the aforementioned teams are 2 wins away(assuming they don't lose to their opponents) from Berlin.

posted about 2 years ago

I use both of these terms interchangeably. I do think that TR should properly be included into EU wide circuit from geographic perspective(i.e. no seperate TR region), while CIS depends on how many actual pro Valorant players are there outside of Moscow/Saint Petersburg, and from countries like Kazakhstan/Armenia/Azerbaijan/even Mongolia etc. But one has to also admit that TR gets the best viewership in the entire EMEA, so I suppose Turks having a separate region is warranted, even if it doesn't make much sense ping wise. Like heck, Team Finest play out of Israel in EU qualifiers without much of a problem.

posted about 2 years ago

Ah, that's true, my bad.

posted about 2 years ago

yeah my arm hurt too for a day after 1st shot of Moderna

Getting my 2nd one in the middle of August

posted about 2 years ago

CIS players also play on ping like that and it doesn't seem to be causing that much of a problem for them

posted about 2 years ago

If shalaby can somehow fix whatever issues he had in his games against Wild and Giants and live up to his hype from MENA crowd, then Vitality have a fighting chance. Otherwise it's straight to lower bracket for them, where they will probably be eliminated in round 2, round 3 at best.
