Not into the ratings no. I'm not sure how to adjust that and still make it fair... what were you thinking?

Not into the ratings no. I'm not sure how to adjust that and still make it fair... what were you thinking?
Nah i think his ratings are based off of a scaled VLR rating
Do love that guy tho his designs are cool
He had really good entry stats, which the Duelist role in my formula weighs pretty high.
Also, who would you say is better? Even by VLR rating Best is the best by quite a bit (1.10), Slaughter and Yigox are both at 1.06. (By this rating system they're at 81 and 80, respectively).
He had a rating of 82
He wasn't in the original dataset due to <500 rounds, I manually added his stats and it turns out to be a rating of 80.
ara has a rating of 83, which is 26th out of the players in my dataset and 13th amongst Duelists
He definitely has been looking really nice on GX and I daresay the competition in the Spanish leagues is a bit harder than, say, NorthEast (no offense)
These were just by the statistics, Sayo had an overall more dominant performance than comeback, but qualitatively I'd agree that comeback is better
according to vlr he has only 122 rounds, I guess it doesn't count Liga Radiante as it's not part of Challengers?
just tryna share my passion :/
There is a formula, it's calculated from VLR stats (K/D, KAST%, APR, etc), and then normalizing and condensing them into 6 attributes: Aim, Clutch, Support, Fragging, Entry, and Consistency, all on a scale of 100. Then, depending on their role, each attribute is weighed differently to get an overall rating out of 100 (for example Duelists might weigh Entry more, and Controllers might weigh Support more).
As an example, ComeBack's ratings are:
Aim - 84 (weighed at 20%)
Clutch - 70 (weighed at 10%)
Support - 58 (5%)
Fragging - 105 (30%)
Entry - 99 (20%)
Consistency - 98 (15%)
Which comes to an overall rating of 91.
I used the VLR stats page of the Challengers League in the Europe region, with minimum 500 rounds played (and opponent rating of 1400) being a requirement, so it's possible that some players were overlooked.
Here are the top T2 EMEA prospects, with my custom rating system:
Here are the top five by each role:
Duelist:
Controller:
Initiator:
Sentinel:
And the top five by each region:
France:
Spain:
Germany:
NorthEast:
Turkey:
Thoughts? Do these top players accurately represent the T2 talent pool in EMEA? Have I missed anyone?
Let me know if you have any additional questions about how the rating system works.
Yeah as a Canadian I'm quite disappointed to hear about this, I thought we were better than the Americans but I guess not in this aspect...
would it be better to look at all of emea across stage 1/2?
Here are performance ratings from the recent EMEA Challengers League #2 tournament, based on my custom rating system.
Thoughts? Are any of these players standouts for you guys?
This is so cool cloudberry just wanted to say
why he so inconsistent with his fragging tho like he went 2 and 14 after going 24/10
Final rankings:
Thoughts? What would you change?
Data is from a strawpoll with 66 people voting.
Thoughts? The teams from 5-10 are quite clustered (RRQ, SEN, PRX, MIBR, TL, XLG), as middle-of-the-pack teams. G2 and FNC are clearly 1 and 2 in some order, and BLG and WOL are clearly 11 and 12 in that order.
Current rankings:
help refine the list then, maybe it was just SEN fanboys
This was only from 10 votes, if you want to vote then use this link: https://strawpoll.com/PbZqbE6EKyN

There's 20 players but it might not be the most representative top 20, so I'm only going to tally the top 10 at the end.
each player gets 6 attributes based on stats. for instance aim is calculated with HS and K/D, and scaled accordingly. Then, according to each player's role, each attribute is weighted differently to create an overall rating out of roughly 100. For instance Duelists would weigh entrying more than support, while Controllers need a high support score.
The rating system also measured based off attributes. Here's the top 5 players for each attribute:
AIM:
CLUTCH:
SUPPORT:
FRAGGING:
ENTRYING:
CONSISTENCY:
Ended up with a 74 rating
Here are some up-and-coming Tier 2 NA players, based on my custom rating system:
And just for fun here are the worst-rated players:
I'd like one if you have the time too
NRG:
s0m (Smokes)
FNS (Sentinel/IGL)
Verno (Recon/Secondary caller)
mada (Duelist)
Ethan (Flex)
Oh wait...
NRG:
s0m - Sentinel
skuba - Smokes
mada - Duelist
brawk - Recon
sociablEE (IGL) - Flashes/Flex
So far the results are:
T-1: G2
T-1: FNC
tbf I had the intent of treating this as a power ranking
ty for the clarification I was genuinely confused lmao
2 points like rankings? Cause 1st gets 11 points, 2nd gets 10, etc...
Comfort probably plays into it (Ethan has played 99 games on Skye and 1 on Fade)
tbf it was only one game's worth of sample size, he was playing quite well in the regular season iirc
plus he had the highest Support value (basically assists per round) of any player in playoffs
they were statistically very dominant throughout playoffs so the ratings will understandably be skewed
However kaajak has both quantitatively and qualitatively shown that he is an elite player, and the rest of the players are all very solid too.
it's a similar kind of scaling
He was 31st out of 40 playoffs players with a rating of 71
Although it was an extremely low sample size for him and the other Vitality players
Hello all,
Some of you may remember my custom rating system I've been developing. I've applied it to the EMEA Playoffs, giving each player a rating out of 100. Here is the top 10:
And just for fun here are the bottom 5:
Thoughts? Does this seem accurate? Also let me know if you're curious on how the ratings are calculated.
idk if this is real but s0m senti + skuba smokes, then everyone else stays original role?
does it say split twice for you guys as well?
gold but I appreciate the compliment
the difference is that zellsis has been fragging pretty well on senti and john’s looked quite comfortable on initiator
Kicks has been like their best player this split
coming from a casual:
suygetsu
idk
idk
demon1
idk
This is from all stages, he's played 130 rounds, 1.14 rating, 1.19 K/D. He must've had a subpar kick/off on Yoru...
By the stats this year, across all regions in VCT:
The highest-rated is stew, with a 1.39 rating, but only 88 rounds played.
Rarga has a 1.36 rating, but only 163 rounds played.
Jemkin has the highest rating over 200 rounds, 1.23.
Kai also has a 1.23 rating, but with more rounds.
Most rounds played on the agent is Jawgemo with 765 (1.06) rating, next up is zekken with 422 rounds (1.10 rating).
I'd say these are the candidates for best Yoru ITW, people haven't said Kai yet so I'll nominate him.
