We have surely never seen a 3 - 11 comeback before... Right? RIGHT???

Apart from FNC (my flair and favorite team as a proud EMEA user and fan):

  • SEN in Americas (I heckin love TenZ)
  • PRX in Pacific (genuinely who doesn't like these guys?)
  • EDG in China (in Kangkang we trust)
  • VIT as a 2nd EMEA team (I like that they are investing in young tier 2 talent)

I HECKING LOVE TENZ
(Ngl his Yoru was actually really good, he was cooking 100T and hard-diffing Asuna...)

W responses from FNS (especially the 2nd one, I think Mindfreak is extremely underrated).
I would personally include Derke in the most consistent players of the LAST 3 YEARS as well (his only bad performance at an international tournament was at this year's Champions - and it wasn't even that bad, it was still above average).

I don't remember the exact title of the movie but what I do recall though is the protagonist walking for 10 minutes straight, without any other action. And, as you can imagine, that was a bit of torture for someone who prefers action-films (Hollywood style) like me.

Now, speaking of "Poor Things", I have also read a lot of positive reviews about Lanthimos' new film. But I will only watch it if my friends recommend it to me (I generally don't enjoy much watching movies alone). But, as I said before, you should definitely give it a try (and if you like it you can watch his other films too) if you love movies with deep meanings (ie philosophical). Of which it has a lot as I have heard...

Edit: DaviH and tomaszy too
And from NA flyuh (both great fragger and IGL)

What do you mean by that?
Do you ask if I like it or if it's useful? Or about the contents of the subject?

posted 8 months ago

Nah, that's mostly a stereotype.
Only far-right Greeks or those who are connected with the armed forces (mostly military members) have such a mindset (hating Turks). Also some elderly people who still remember the days when Greece and Turkey were arch-rivals have hate towards Turks. Most Greeks don't really care about the whole Greece vs Turkey rivalry and don't provoke unless someone else (like a Turk) hates at us first.

The only Turks I personally hate are the ones who troll and throw my ranked games on Istanbul server, who are very rude and toxic.

Sorry but I don't know you (yet).
What I know though is that james_ff is a great Greek vlr.gg user.

Glad to hear that even you don't approve of your compatriots behavior.
Unfortunately Istanbul is where I have the less ping and the most stable connection (everywhere else I have 100+ ping) so I keep playing there 😭😭😭.

I have to inform you that both Greek and Turkish-middle eastern cuisines share many recipes in common. So it's not unnatural for some dishes to look similar.

Hi fellow Turk :)

PS: Btw you guys should stop being so toxic when I play on the Istanbul server.

Compare Japan's GDP -> 5 trillion $ and Greece's GDP -> 200 billion $.
I think there is a huge difference in economy, no?

posted 8 months ago

Who is he? I'm new here, so I don't know him.

Edit: I think I have seen his username but I have no idea if he is good or bad.

posted 8 months ago

If yes then I would suggest:

  • Chicken souvlaki and chicken gyros
  • Roasted lamb (Greece's holiday dish for Easter)
  • Lamb or chicken κοντοσούβλι
  • Κλέφτικο lamb or chicken (one of my favorite dishes when going out to eat in a "ταβέρνα"=traditional Greek restaurant)

If you want something vegetarian:

  • Χωριάτικη σαλάτα (traditional Greek salad, but it includes feta cheese)
  • Γεμιστά (Tomatos, zucchinis and eggplants stuffed with rice)
  • Γίγαντες στον φούρνο (giant beans baked in oven, really delicious with feta cheese)
  • Τζατζίκι (a sauce made from yogurt, cucumber and garlic)
  • Μελιτζάνες ιμάμ (roasted eggplants with a tomato-onion sauce and feta cheese)
  • Ρεβιθάδα (a chickpeas soup, one of the most underrated dishes in my opinion. It's pretty simple to made and if cooked correctly is absolute delicious)

Are chicken and lamb allowed?

He is one of the most famous modern film directors from Greece and loved by many, but I personally don't like his style. In fact I have only watched one of his movies and I found it so boring that I haven't watch any of his films since.
So I don't recommend him to the average Hollywood viewer, unless you are really passionate about cinema or you love culture movies with deep meanings.

Yeah, the average temperature in Athens at the end of July-start of August is about 35 - 40 Celsius degrees.
But in your original message you said "45+", which only happens once every year.

No

Refer to #7.
Some of the recipes I wrote are pretty underrated by foreigners/tourists in my opinion.
However my favorite recipe that many Greeks don't respect is definitely μελιτζάνες ιμάμ (roasted eggplants with a tomato-onion sauce and feta cheese).

posted 8 months ago

Glad you like these foods :)
I'm a big fan of "σπανακόπιτα" too! Greek salad is present in almost every lunch in Greece (not anything special).

Recommended food to try (those are my favorites):

  • Μουσακάς (Mousakas)
  • Γεμιστά (Tomatos, zucchinis and eggplants stuffed with rice)
  • Κεφτεδάκια (meatballs in tomato sauce)
  • Σουβλάκι (pork/chicken skewers)
  • Πιτογυρο (gyros in pita, the most famous Greek street food)
  • Γίγαντες στον φούρνο (giant beans, really delicious with feta cheese)
  • Αρνί με πατάτες (roasted lamb with potatos)
  • Τζατζίκι (tzatziki, a yogourt based sauce)
And many more, since Greek cuisine is one of the most tasty (at least for me and my compatriots) in the world.

  1. Rumors say that there is a literal "cartel" between the internet providers, which results in predetermined high prices for slow speeds. Another factor is the geological diversity of my country: with so many mountains and small islands is really difficult for a big part of Greece's population to access good internet because of the infrastructure being undeveloped. Though it has to be said that many households have upgraded to fiber internet lately, because of the infrastructure development program led by our government in collaboration with EU. But still, I wouldn't describe our internet as "ass", most daily tasks that involve usage of internet can be performed without major issues.

  2. First of all the temperature rarely reaches such heights. It only happens for 1-3 days once a year, so it's not a big problem. But I have to admit that indeed summer in Greece is considered really hot, even for us Greeks (not to mention for foreigners from colder countries).
Now, about "how we survive". The solution is pretty simple actually: we just use air conditioning. Also most people go on vacation on July-August (the hottest months), either to seaside areas or mountainous regions, in order to escape the heat.

If you have any questions about Greece, feel free to ask me. It can be as ridiculous as you want, as long as you're not being over the top.

Inspired by QIQ and many others, who made a similar thread on Japan and their respective countries.

Honestly I don't give a fuck where he is from. Nor do I care if he is fake-flagging.

I was just curious why he changed his flag from Albanian to the one of Aruba. Especially since he had stated multiple times that he is from Albania and he seems like he genuinely knows a lot about that country. So it seemed strange to me for someone to remove the flag of the country he loves and add in its place the flag of a random tiny island in the middle of the ocean.

But since he responded above explaining the reason of his decision my question was answered and it's all good.

TLDR: I don't care where he is from, I was just curious about why he removed his favorite flag.

posted 8 months ago

First of all you didn't even explain to me (you were talking to @mrGoudas).

Now, about the IGLing part:
I'm not even a fan of Marved but I really have to explain you why his very mid performance when playing for SEN was because of him taking the IGL role.

When Marved wasn't igling (because dephh was) his performance was excellent:

His only bad game was against EG, the current World Champions, who were also in hot form back then.

It was only after he was forced to IGL that his performance worsened. And it wasn't even that bad, he was usually placing in the middle of the scoreboard.

Now to answer your question about the correlation between igling and aiming:
The most important factor of igling that worsens someone's aim is the constant checking of the minimap. The amount of times players aren't focused on their crosshair placement because they are looking at their minimap and as a result they take an unfavored gunfight and they die is absurd (you can probably relate too). And if you say a pro player shouldn't be making these rookie mistakes, I will inform you that improvement comes with experience. And Marved was THE DEFINITION of an inexperienced IGL (it was his first ever time being an IGL and that was in VCT). Other IGLs are much more experienced and therefore they don't make such mistakes, which results in them performing up to their level.

But I would honestly like to hear who are those "super solid fraggers" IGLs you are talking about.
The grand majority of great IGLs are not at all like what you described: FNS, Saadhak, Boaster, Haodong (since you are an EDG fan you should know) and many others are usually bottom-fragging.
The only world class IGL who is both good on his role and a good fragger that comes to my mind is Boostio, but even he was the worst rated member of EG at Champions LA.

PS: I agree with you that s0m looked better than Marved this year, but your IGL argument is just nonsense...

"RetardedRadiant" lmao

Also I remember him stating in a post that he is Albanian and saying a lot of details about the country.
AND HE IS SURELY NOT FROM ARUBA (the current flag he is using)...

Why did you remove the Albanian flag?

posted 8 months ago

Idk if you are kidding or if you genuinely don't understand he is fake-flagging

He has been always acting like this (actually I think he is just an average csgo enjoyer, that's why he hates valorant)

Don't forget Buzz can also play Killjoy (and he was actually preety damn good on regular season when he was forced to play her).

Plus with the huge Jett nerfs that happened many teams are going to use Chamber more and more as the main opper, which means he can play him too (last year he was great on Chamber and he is a good opper too).

posted 8 months ago

You forget Zekken...

posted 8 months ago

Just imagine what KC could have achieved if they had a proper IGL and Scream was focusing on his one-taps as a duelist...

posted 8 months ago

I know Scream and Nivera will not continue competing on KC, but just imagine this roster:

Scream -> duelist: after the huge Jett nerfs and the meta shifting to Raze (and potentially other duelists like Neon and Phoenix too) he could be a great entry player (his Raze was really good in LCQ).

Nivera -> sentinel: his Killjoy and Cypher are good and with the meta shifting away from Jett we will probably see more Chamber picks, which means Nivera could op without any limitations.
FUN FACT: the first agent that he ever played on VCT was Killjoy!

sh1n -> flex: he is a promising young player and KC seems like they really want him to stay. During LCQ he mostly played flash initiators (Skye and Breach), which means he could be the main support player for the team.

Enzo -> initiator: could be the IGL and main recon initiator of the team. During Ascension his most played agent was Sova. He is a very experienced player.

kAdavra -> controller: promising talent from the French regional league. He was the highest rated player (tied with TakaS) during Split 2.

This roster on paper looks solid and has a much higher potential than the previous one (especially since Enzo would be the IGL in the place of ScreaM).
Unfortunately is not going to happen, but JUST IMAGINE WHAT KC COULD DO...

posted 8 months ago

Because of the OFF//SEASON and the massive roster changes that are happening right now I was thinking of some great potential lineups for a few VCT teams that hadn't the best season this year (like Karmine Korp), that can definitely help them improve.
While searching for a roster that can transform KC from one of the worst EMEA teams to a title contender I found out about kAdavra.

If KC wants a great smokes player with carry potential they should really consider signing this guy.

He is French (huge advantage if KC wants to continue being a french only speaking team), controller main but can also play sentinels (he has good stats on both Cypher and Killjoy) and most importantly really consistent (some stats below).

5th best rated player in Challengers League France Revolution: Split 1 -> https://www.vlr.gg/event/stats/1425/challengers-league-france-revolution-split-1

Best rated player overall (tied with TakaS who had better ACS, but kAdavra had better KD) in Challengers League France Revolution: Split 2 -> https://www.vlr.gg/event/stats/1577/challengers-league-france-revolution-split-2

Best rated player (also had the highest kill differential with +27 while his whole team went negative) in Grand Finals (qualification game for Ascension EMEA btw) against Gentlemates, the team that eventually won the whole thing -> https://www.vlr.gg/214676/gentle-mates-vs-mandatory-challengers-league-france-revolution-split-2-gf

TLDR: kAdavra is a great French controller main and KC should consider signing him.
