All the players/orgs were probably already informed about the rules, even when they weren't disclosed to the public yet.
And considering that some games gives 1 map advantage for the team coming from the upper bracket, I think this is a fair advantage.

but one ban and first pick is not even an good advantage bro. Teams in finals normally have good map pool. In fps always have this discussion about what advantage is fairly but one map is too much and only first pick is too small advantage.

The double elimination is this way. I don't like advantage but imagine you only lose one match and your opponent lose twice and be the champion.

Them getting first ban and first pick is already a huge advantage, it's straight up not fun for the viewer if one team is put on the backfoot by default, people want to watch fair gameplay.
