i was literally about to make a thread on this. no matter how well other regions do, emea fanboys will always belittle other regions' achievements with "fpx wasn't there" and "fnatic was playing with sub" etc etc. just the sad truth.
i'm sorry for being such an emea fanboy and thinking that you have to beat a team at their 100% to actually be called better than them. 😭😭 im just belittling other regions teams, as if this wouldn't apply to any team regardless of region. i just really hate seeing other regions do well you got me.

Remember when V1 played with a sub and beat Team Lulquid? I remember.
EMEA teams always make excuses, meanwhile every other region owns the situation and plays their game. NA didn't complain about having a sub when V1 lost, but EMEA loves excuses. It's inevitable.
The matches haven't even started yet. How can one be pissed about something that hasn't even happened and might happen in future? And it's usually the brain ded EMEA fans here who makes up excuses lol.... EMEA teams are much nicer and more aware of themselves than the NA bunch lol.
The only people pissed on this forum are EMEA fans, already making excuses for when they don't win. Read around. Other regions are calling it out because it's pathetic. They have more slots than any other region, and yet they're making excuses as to why they can't win. That's absurd.

no you should compare their mentalities,sen won a masters then stopped trying / caring ,gambit won masters and still kept grinding and got 2nd at champs
Yes that's why I said I got your point but you used tourney wins as a way to measure success when literally no team has won 2 international events.
You're right about Sentinel's mentality, but there's a reason why new teams (like The Guard) have come out of nowhere in NA, after grinding practicing and trying their absolute hardest for the past 3-4 months to make it here. The issue with Sentinels is that they make too much money off streams, and so do the orgs. The real money for orgs isn't in the tournament winnings unfortunately, and it sets a bad precedent for orgs in NA.
No one would have said anything (other than be sad about it), cause LOUD is not expected to win the whole tournament like FPX.
Your region still gets 3 spots. NA wouldn't be making excuses as to why they lost if The Guard couldn't go. C9 would take the spot and that'd be it. If they didn't win, that's that.
We wouldn't cry and make excuses as to why we lost. EMEA cringe. I might think BR is mediocre, but at least they don't whine over every loss and instead decide to celebrate their victories. I give props to BR for that. Then again, that's every region except EMEA.

emea is the #1 region because the best emea teams have gone to represent emea, but now that isnt the case.
so i think its pretty reasonable to not be happy about it, and emea can keep living rent free in your head i could care less for your emea hate boner.
