and no it isnt because cn is ass, i really dont know what it is honestly. it just feels so stale and soulless compared to previous years. maybe i am just losing the passion for the esport itself but i am really curious if anyone else feels this way

Everything feels the same, no excitement
The last time i felt that spark was the ENVY vs MIBR upset
storylines make games interesting and the storylines are a bit weak rn
big superstar teams like fnatic arent here, legacy players like aspas are missing
as much as people hate on successful dynastic teams and consistent players, they are what make the game storylines interesting
nowadays in valorant you can skip watching 2 tournaments and have 10 new teams you have never seen before at champs
The productions been ass as well as well as the stage should of let VCT CN run it
Nah its cuz china is ass. Vfl is the only thing keeping me entertained and even then it's just min max china games
legit how i've been playing VFL in champs, just pick every single team that plays CN and then pick a star player.
Too many stomps, same arena style, same meta, only 2 BO3's a day, the tournament lasts too long for no fucking reason.
The only good games has been the PRX vs liquid and the GE vs VIT. The only good part of groups are the elimination matches bcs something is on the line
I think its the current meta for me. I really don't enjoy watching chamber comps. Or neon comps for that matter
despite the games being mostly stomps so far i a really feeling the vibe this team. Havent been this excited and vibing in a long time
I mean I agree but I've been a VCT fan since 2021 when I was 14-15, so... I think for me it's a matter of growing up
That said - on the whole I think I dislike the franchising system all these years on.
I would say that this Champs is exciting because of so many new teams in the mix. However, this might be one of the easier Champs to predict since the meta is one where you either die or live by it.
The venue definitely could have been hosted by VCT CN rather than Riot, but what can you do? No shooting bodies unless you want serious repercussions, and the end of this franchise era has felt somewhat disappointing since there are so many good teams and T2 players who won't get the same chance if they have to go through Open Quals.
