I find fade way more intuitive in ranked bc I can scale off my own utility so much more easily
On sova I genuinely struggle to find impact off my own utility especially when scaling space on execs and retakes
Feels like I rely way more on my team to capitalize off my utility than being able to use it for myself, and it’s hard to scale with my duelist on good timing
I have way better stats on fade than sova
Any tips from sova players to get better at the agent?
Idk it’s fine on breeze since scaling site is usually pretty easy
I’m talking more about a map like ascent
I drone A main and it takes a bit, then we lose optimal execution timing while I do a dart lineup and shock the trips
Genuinely just takes longer to use utility on sova and timing matters a lot in this game
On fade I can dog main, scale with it, throw my eye as I enter site with my team, and have my gun out in time to push with them and capitalize off my own utility
Sova playstyle is suited for distance instead of close range. Drone is suppose to be at high altitude to cover more area. Sova ult is better from longer distance to able hit more people.
Your example of fade utility usage is more suitable for smaller size maps with lots of corners, which fade is the more preferred choice. The 2nd entry trading type. I'd say use your drone or recon dart to an area where it would push the opponent's back to retreat where your util initiate would cause opponent to think your team would flood the site.
learn 1-2 lineups for each map you play sova on, makes it way more fun for yourself since ranked is very selfish
I know the lineups it’s just a pain
Like when we do a fast pop I literally cannot enter with my team since I need to dart drone shock
Can’t move when I drone, need to charge up a recon, and by the time it’s all used the duelist either got the entry or died, and I am not in position to trade on sova
yea it sucks thats just how it is on sova, if ur duelist is braindead and runs in before ur drone even after u tell him not to its a ggs go next
More of a playstyle switch then anything else actually, fade you're playing way more aggressive then you would on sova since you have dog and tether compared to sova's drone. Play more passive, lineups are good to learn but not needed so learn them if you want and have good memory.
Because Fade is way easier to play yet way more useful than Sova. You don't need to play Sova if you know how to play Fade.
People at the Pro level starting to use Fade over Sova even in a long range map like Summit, Breeze even Haven. Sova in big 2026 is obsolete
tell a team (not counting CN bcs they like goofy comps) that uses fade over sova on breeze and haven with a good winrate
