I truly hope G2 get's 13-0 by LOUD on their map pick to serve as a wakeup call finally, signing a caster in the big 26 and moving one of your key players to full flex.
I won't deny it's been a slump for Trent and Valyn but still i think these 2 players deserve so much better.

BABYBAY is only good because this team has a system that allows mid ass players to perform.
Just look how much the gameplan, meta and even map picks have changed to accomodate a 30 year old player who doesn't improve JonahP.
JonahP wasn't that much of a better player but I think if we kept him the results would be the same.

They've been negative this year because this team has not shown any improvement.
They're just kinda wearing down their best players and it's showing.
A lot of loyal fans are ironically either very harsh towards their team or a die hard believer up until the point where they think their team is beyond redemption, which they then turn into the former option.

honestly as a g2 fan i kinda agree with this. We need a real wake-up call to FINALLY realize that signing babybay wasn't a good idea. He was supposed to be the cheap alternative for a temporary leaf replacement; they decided to replace jonahp with him, which imo was a horrible idea.
Babybay's agent pool is the problem here; since he retired, he doesn't have so much experience with many of the sentinels, so he literally can only play chamber and vyse, which limits all of g2's comps.
I would prefer the team not go to Champs at all, because if they manage to make it there, it won't work, bro. There are too many limitations around JAWGEMO's performance, Babybay has only been able to play two agents "decently," and Leaf has looked really uncomfortable the whole year.
I mean, even Valyn and Trent are underperforming, because I think the amount of pressure that comes from knowing your team has no players for the current meta, and that the map pool isn't that great anymore, takes its toll.
They have so much champs points, the chances of them going to champs is almost guaranteed unless someone does the impossible and take out LEV and NRG before grand finals.
??? like I do think losing is a great reminder but you can't possibly want them to miss champs and call yourself a fan.
I am a fan bro, if the team makes champs ofc i will root for them, but this iteration of the team won't make a deep run because there's too many limitations around them.

i have massive respect for all their players, all incredibly skilled (esp valyn trent and leaf)
i do hope they can have some success in the future, finally win a trophy

Low-key this was my sentiment with fnatic until today we played really well today y'all just need one horrific game for everyone to wake up
The meta has not been the best for slow-gameplay hard util teams as FNC and G2 but still, the orgs have taken too many questionable decisions (G2 keeping Babybay and Jawgemo) and FNC looked well with Veqaj as Chron's replacement but his illness fucked everything up.
It's been a rough year but i will still support the team if they manage to make to champs but it does not look good and there's not much to be optimistic because the ceiling is clearly lower than previous years.
I agree wholeheartedly man it's rough for teams with Util cycles and teams that are more macro heavy
