like they've obviously put loads of effort into marketing and the venue and it's pretty cool
But is the schedule really gonna be like this forever?
If they want to be taken seriously they need a schedule that doesn't completely fuck over all the good teams
if they just put it sometime in the off season and change nothing else it would be perfect
i think it's a pretty commonly held view in vlr honestly
i only don't mind because i see it like: masters > ewc > regional
and i don't think double elim is going to be the deciding factor to bring it above masters
also obviously they need single elim if they're going to keep cramming it in the middle of the year like they are now
The issue is at EWC is across all games, so the schedule change would have to be on Riot’s end or smth
I think this year quality wise was a massive step up from them. But i don't have a lot of faith in the organizers to really have steady improvement year after year, esp when it comes to scheduling. We'll only know by next year when it comes around tbh
Unfortunately not. EWC is only hosted around this part of the year, and this happens to be the one and only gap that Valorant has that aligns with EWC dates
that in turn is why double elim can't happen
