since last year they have limited ewc discussion to a single thread, making the people who watch it angry, especially the fans of the winner of the event
mods on r/valorantcompetitive are deleting posts related to ewc because its political ig
even if most people agree with one position... deleting/limiting it is also political
not really, when it also limits the most harmful thing for sportwashing campaigns (critical reporting on the Saudi regiems "issues")
it is the most neutral position they can take without outright allowing politics
The CCP has a ~1% share in the company (and as such has direct influence over it), but it is not owned by them.
It is perfectly reasonable to be cautious about their involvement in Valorant, so if you see any attempts being made to try and sportwash their image using valorant, feel free to post about it within VLRs rules^^
I have not seen any such attempts (especially given that they outright kneecapped china with the late launch) so far.
