Seeing anybody try to claim this event is anywhere near master tier after fucking lovers rock wins it is gonna be hilarious
This event is losing any ounce of potential prestige if BBL wins cuz it just proves only garbage EMEA teams win
id love to see emeastans who glazed ewc suddenly either have to
- glaze asuna
- switch up completely
the event to me is just slightly below champs level. it doesnt really matter who wins it, it will have the same prestige regardless.
yeah i think it places above a masters quite easily. why wouldnt it be? higher prize pool, once a year event, more incentive for teams to play good. to me, it feels stupid not to try to win no?
if its so wrong maybe you should try giving me objective statements that make your statement valid instead of just shitting on the event for no reason

The only thing it provides is prize money, it doesn’t provide champ points (single most important thing if we’re talking in terms of money bc champs bundle revenue far surpasses prize money)
so what? players will want to play well regardless. do you think every player is some money hungry pleb that only plays for it. No, if you made it this far into the pro scene you obviously play because you want your name cemented as on of the games best players, the money is a secondary goal.
also, the reason people call this event "mickey" is bcuz riots vct schedule and meta shifting sucks major dick. giving no team time to build up momentum or to build an understanding of the current meta. which is why you have teams like 100T in finals.
