Pro is Money

Money creates meaning.

Public opinion gives meaning. A prizepool is a sorry attempt to make something valuable. I compare it to a 200 million dollar budget movie. If it's got bad reviews it's still a shitty movie no matter how much money you throw at it.

Bad public opinion or not players still care about winning this tournament. Maybe its not as valuable as winning a Masters in the eyes of fans but the prize pool is really hard for the players to ignore

Orgs in esports don’t make money most of them operate on losses so obviously orgs are going to care about the prize incentives of winning EWC which are even higher than Masters

Not to mention all the money that will go into players pockets from winning a tournament like this with such a high prize pool
