As much as I hate western region in league, league esports is at it's best when lpl and G2 are competitive against lck. So hopefully those 2 regions can keep this up against lck to improve the competition in league.
Unfortunately lpl just hit their own foot with all the gaming rules and matchfixing and gambling situation in lower tiers so talent pool is dead. As for EU I don't understand why they are so shit in league. So time is not fixing shit for them.

I feel like there's a few reason EU aren't great:
- EU keeps importing talent from Korea which makes it so young talents from EU have a much lowers chances to reach the highest level
- The talent development and discovery isn't very good, like in Korea and CN most teams have academy rosters and there are countless competitions players who aren't at the pro level can play in to try and get themselves noticed
- EU salaries for non pro players are very low and there aren't nearly enough riot hosted events to sustain players leading to them giving up on league if they don't get picked up
- The franchising system makes it hard since even if your good nepotism can win out and you can have a washed 30 year old going from roster to roster instead of a team getting fresh regional talent.

Because of t1 and China obviously mainly China when considering the total viewership. Also it rivals vierwship with sports league cause it's free to watch. It wouldn't even have half the viewership if esports was locked behind pay wall like traditional sports leagues.
