CS grand final is almost having twice the viewership for Val GF. Can Val ever surpass CS? I thought PRX viewership will carry...another CN or EMEA was needed in the finals.

bro cs final is hosted in cologne, we finally have a major winner not named vitality in a year, the final has fallen, m0nesy, niko, kyousuke, karrigan (arguably the biggest stars in CS outside of donk and s1mple), brazilian viewership, russian viewership and eu viewership because there are a lot of m0nesy/niko fans in EU

I mean that's just subjective, but to say that ''much better entertainment'' when just the fucking falcons-spirit game made me scream like a highschool girl is wild. Fucking g2 vs spirit on dust 2 and mirage was a fever dream

I would get you, but I just do not understand how for example spirit vs g2 could even be classified as boring

nah not even close to their game at astana, there the crowd was actually heavily biased against G2. One lurk and the entire barys arena went screaming. In Cologne it was somewhat decent

Any series from G2-Spirit/Falcons-Vitality and Spirit-Falcons clears the whole London Masters

I mean the only way is that they stop tryna censor everything. They need to cater to a wide audience and have bigger events man. Like just look how quiet the crowd is. Also they need proper crowd workers. The current casters are amazing but the hosts imo are lacking. Vansilli, Rivington were amazing. Also They need to change the walkouts man. Music sucks. Just look at the CS atmosphere the crowd itself is soo enjoyable. I will always defend Valorant Gameplay. Its just the crowd is soo fucking boring.

agreed, I feel like franchising kinda halted the momentum the game was getting in 2023

Like look whats going on stream right now. Its fucking cringe bruh. Just have actual segments instead of having random fucking cosplayers dance. You are not gonna grow a proper fanbase for the esport if you keep catering soo far that way

But why are you talking about Chinese viewership when you are not even seeing how much viewers the chinese platforms have? PRX is pretty popular in China so I wouldn't be surprise the viewership is decent

comparing a relatively new game to a game with decades of history especially with esports is just crazy ngl, VAL will probably never going to pass CS in terms of ESports viewership in a few years or maybe even a decade. Although i think there are way more people who plays VAL because its way more accessible (low end PC friendly) than CS, it's just the history of CS ESports dating back to CS 1.6 btw that's just almost impossible to overcome, especially with VAL being a relatively new game. i prefer val tho
