is it crazy to say, they should keep partnered at 10/12 since they no longer have an obligation to keep them in, and continue farming money off big orgs
imo the balance should be:
EMEA:
1 MENA
3 turkish
4 EU (assuming CIS counts in EU)
APAC:
3 KR
1 Thai
1 Ph
1 JP
1 SA
1 ROSEA
1 Indo
AMERICAS:
1 Latam North
1 Latam South
2 BR
4 NA
they're by far the most developped subregion both in terms of talent pool and structure and they bring a lot to the league, 3 is very fair imo
Pacific has 4 subregion in 2027, how 3 KR team make sense tho, ita not a single circuit anymore
Bro Theres no way 4 na 2 Br i doubt that one of furia loud and mibr ARE Gonna leave 3 na IS enough
keep LEV now that they've locked in on Latam talent, they have a huge fanbase around the world especially in china which is important
kick C9
from what I've heard the only reason C9 got into partnership in the first place is that another org (Flyquest I think) fucked up and considering they're arguably the worst org in the history if VCT americas since franchising I don't think Riot will hesitate to cut them
Lyon over kru doesnt make sense i think. I really think that they can replace c9 or sr but not kru
kru is latam south
if they mesh latam into one sub-region then yeah
but i still think they get lyon over kru unless kru wins champs and their bundle sales go crazy
Feel like Loud is a bigger lock than Furia and MIBR
Also they will not cut 100t
MIBR will stay in the league no matter what as long as they have Aspas and Zekken.
Imo Liud doesn't deserve to stay in the league, they're one of the worst orgs out there but Furia don't really have an history of being competent either so I don't really care. I actually think 2G has done (or at least tried to do) more for Brazil than either of these orgs
MIBR historically is a worse org on Val than Loud but they are redeeming themselves now. The problem is if they will stick with their NA roster or go back to BR. If they choose NA, will Riot choose them on the BR spot, or will they fight for a spot with likes of G2, SEN, 100t, NRG? If its BR then i have my doubts they will keep Zekken (and Verno to an extent)
Furia is a better org than Loud overall but on Val they are worse. There are a lot of reasons why i think they will be cut. I personally wouldn't be against 2G but i don't think they have done that much more than Loud and Furia and they have way less dedicated fans, which Leo Faria said will be a big factor
I think MIBR can just stay in BR with 2 NA imports if they pick up 2 brazilian players to fill for Mazino and Tex, pb is I don't really know who that would be. Br really lacks T2 talent atm, there's only a handful of interesting players who haven't been in T1 already
Idrc about the 2nd spot tbh, both Loud and Furia are quite uninteresting to me tho I do like the Loud roster, but I think their fanbase is harming them a lot. Riot pbb doesn't really care about that tho
Theres no way loud IS not in with the fanbase and history that they have doubt
Br has a really good T2 talent sidu tk Ghoul kring dth bruxo kramaric and Theres others that ARE much better that they were in T1 before like you think the Gap in na and Br in talent in T2 IS Just too big?
If they're doing 8, turkey will probably only get 2 and EMEA gets 5. I don't really see a world where any of FNC/TH/TL/M8/VIT are cut tbh, maybe you can make the argument for VIT to be cut, but even then you'd imagine a team like KC would be getting in before EF
I didn't really think it terms of orgs already there tbh but you're pbb right
considering they werent before idk about now, maybe KC out instead but i doubt they keep three french orgs
thankfully we're not on twitter so I'm not gonna be crucified but -KC +M8 is lowkey the way
"Teams that qualify for either the Kickoff or a Cup through the open circuit will each receive $100,000. Should an open team secure qualification for a Masters event, it will earn $200,000.
A team advancing from the open ecosystem all the way to Champions will receive $400,000. Riot also plans to award $100,000 to teams that qualify for the Game Changers Championship, while maintaining a total seasonal prize pool of more than $6 million."
These qualifiers should actually be quite stacked then? Prize pool is actually looking good
Did you read that article? 12 teams at Kickoff, 8 partner teams are invited. 4 spots divided among the subregions is a fucking awful incentive if you want non-partners teams to actually try.
be grateful that they're even getting it man this is the start of the new format like its genuinely fine. they still have cup 1 AND cup 2.

How can you kick masters winner but they don't have the fanbase to take that spot
