are they actually fun and can they be completed if i don't want to spend 100 attempts just to beat 1 boss

they are fun but some bosses are just going to take that many attempts 🤷
incredibly fun, best genre in all of gaming
they just require u to master the mechanics, most bosses are fine with a few exceptions that feel a bit unfair at times
if u want a good fromsoft title, start with elden ring, it's probably the easiest one bc its not linear
well besides elden ring being the easiest one, i'd say all of the other fromsoft titles are pretty equally matched except sekiro (pain and suffering simulator)
i'd just start with demons souls or DS1 and progress thru the trilogy, the game may feel a bit janky if ur not used to older games tho
i cant give an opinion on bloodborne bc i havent played it
you could also check out some non-fromsoft titles, like lies of p
id start with ds3, imo theres no real point in starting ds1 because you get enough of the story in ds3 and you get a better game (imo)
also id like to add that demons souls is a playstation exclusive like bloodborne
you cant spoil the new guy with the good, polished mechanics, he'll never want to suffer thru ds1 slop controls
yeah its also an exclusive but its way easier to emulate cuz its ps3
yeah probably
if ur going to emulate, i'd recommend demon's souls, the og ds1 (if ur really dedicated and dont mind the fps cap) and maybe ds2, the rest are either pretty tricky to emulate or have a shit port
ps3 emulators like rpcs3 are pretty good so it shouldn't be too hard to get these older titles running
very fun, elden ring might be one of the best games of all time (and certainly my favourite)
also side note elden ring was my first souls game so im not tryna undersell any difficulty too much because i cant when im a first timer
tldr the difficulty is manageable except for a few choice bosses who are mainly late game, but the whole game is mainly about practice. you practice timing dodges, you practice memorizing the boss, etc so its not too bad. when you get to the difficult ones (the late game ones) you will have enough practice memorizing/dodging that youll be fine
also if u cant run elden ring then id say play ds3, its widely considered the best souls and its lighter on the pc
id say for the difficulty its not too bad, theres only like maybe 10 (out of 200) which you will take an ungodly amount of tries on. early game (with reasonable enough prep for an open world game) you should breeze through most of the bosses, except maybe one or 2. late game funnily enough doesnt have very many bosses, but when you get there they are pretty hard. its late game for a reason tbf, but by the time you get there you should be able to adapt enough. id say the hardest base game boss (which is undeniably the hardest, any elden ring players will know who im talking about) took me about 60-80 tries (im making this up but im guessing), but the rest of them were nowhere close (i think second was maybe 40). this is also still 1 out of 200+ so its okay. also the feeling of barely managing to beat a boss (or even dying when theyre 1hp) is a feeling like no other
Play sekiro people might say it's hard which it is if you don't know how to parry. But once you master the parry, game becomes so much fun, satisfying and easy. Focus on learning parry early game don't even worry about hitting. You can beat almost all bosses with just parry
