people dont see how many stupid decisions he makes and just look at vlr rating
hes definitely top 10 for the event but putting him top 5 is actually ridiculous when youre comparing him to players like valyn and jing who were doing the same with fewer mistakes in much harder regions
“Stupid decisions” are cope. You don’t need to be smart if you’re just mechanically gapping everyone else. That being said, I still agree (about Jinggg, not about valyn)
Placing the blame entirely on Sayo when in all 3 of those losses, someone played far worse than him, is ridiculous
you don't need to be that smart if you are a deffault duelist player but he plays viper and sova a lot. Probably u don't watch the emeas group stage but his stupid desicions cost vitality so many rounds. He is a very bad anchor player and some stupid positions can't be saved by a good aim
He's still a rookie so he will obviously make more mistakes, it's fixable though.
i dont think that mentality applies to any role when you're playing in vct, i think it applies a lot less when you're playing viper and sova

He's definitely getting overrated, but people were desperate to overrate him to begin with because he's praised by a ton of other pros as the next big thing and everyone loves citing god tier stats from t3 games to hype up a player
I think he's a hell of an aimer and one of the better players on Vitality but a lot of the kills from his previous games were exits and ecos, so a bit inflated stats
