nah the thing is people dont actually hate new teams making it, they just preferred the story when the usual suspects were fighting it out. like yeah fresh rivalries are cool but a lot of people tuned in for specific teams and players so when those dont show up it hits different. underdog runs are always fun but i get why some people miss having the old names in the mix, its just preference
Honestly, CS is way better at this stuff. Just go search the "story of Outsiders", you will cry for the run they had
yes The jame team who were in literally unrelated situations that screwed a part of CS, but still they fight through it
cs majors with rookies is different though because theyre one-off tournaments, not a league where teams literally qualified through stages. the whole point of franchising is the pathway matters. people not liking new teams at masters says more about wanting to see who actually earned it over a full season than it does about being gatekeepy or whatever.

and people dont like seeing games going 13-5 it bores them.

its always the same, the top teams get the farthest in internationals because they are just in general good.
So what you mean is new teams aren't good enough if you think that, brother, you are on a different level. Sports clearly don't remain the same, it changes time after time. Some maintain the streak while some fall, causing a new team has risen and brought the change
It's silly when said about GE and FS especially who have great players that have been grinding for years, like is it really so surprising they finally push through
New / underdog teams tend to do horrible at international events, which could lead to a region having worse placements, and hence the clowning which people don't want
This is just how it is when you look online for opinions about your team going or any underdog team going. All they want is the fancy big names they are used to. However, none of those ppl will ever go to the venue. None of them will ever leave their house or room to go outside and go to a VCT event. Don;t worry about what other people say or think about your team or underdog teams going international being boring. We all know with so many unknown variables its going to be a crazy event. Block out the noise, dont take the ragebait too easily and just be proud of your team
I have nothing about people showing up or not, but the point I hate is people's jealousy towards new teams winning something
I liked Santiago because of the new teams, but if I had a preference. I think I prefer more established teams. that's not to say I don't like new teams making it, but it's more interesting to see a new character propped up against a familiar cast. Obviously that won't always happen as the VCT isn't scripted (that we know of).
