bruh what the fuck is going on with AG. They literally cycled through Au1, Septem7, Youze and Bai as the 5th AG player. How the fuck did they cycle through 3 players in Stage 1, that is peak roster terrorism. Imagine if this was done in APAC, EMEA or AMERICA.
they have billions people in china
when you under perform a lil bit, there is 10 same player that can replace you
after all they got all gamers
Au1 was replaceable and I get that AG did need a change after testing their limits at Santiago, but bringing in Septem7 was one of the craziest roster decisions of the year.
Why did they replace au1?
He wasn't amazing during Santiago but hey... he contributed to that win vs M8
There are rumors that Au1 said he wanted to hone his craft in VCL(China National Tournament) just like iamgrq.
Last time i checked their goal was just to sell talents, is this still the case?
depends. on both of their fps branches of valorant and cf they have super big academy systems and have a constant stream of loaned out players & build their rosters entirely from the bottom-up. they still try to make championship caliber teams but it's more of a byproduct of their management philosophy. their CF team that's been dominating the last few years has been constantly cycling through ~2-3 players every season.
in LoL and HoK they spend way more money relative to how much infrastructure they built up. their budget seens geared towards building good rosters on a seasonal basis through direct tier 1 poaching. they have good talent scouting but not rly anything near the scale of their fps divisions
Was just talking about valorant, obviously in league they are aiming for sucess (although the fact they still have hope on the team says otherwise)
was gonna say "yes and no" but got sidetracked by the pure scale of their financial tier 2 bullshittery my b
