This shitty map is gonna be the first week of premier and my team doesn't have a single competent Sova player
Should we run the Loud 2024 kickoff comp?
(Phoenix/Kayo/Breach/Omen/Viper)

Yes vro just a vanilla ass map everyone's played a million times and knows where to spam and util dump
If you all think the op/outlaw/judge/odin slop is bad now just wait till the pros get this map back
I'm hoping the devs reworked the map a little more, considering it did improve with that first rework. It's still an Odin slop-fest but real ones know just how much worse it was back then...
But the moment I see a [duelist]/Omen/Kayo/Sova/KJ comp like every other Ascent game I've played in since 2022 I'll accept defeat again
I feel like you could make it work with Skye KAY/O
Fade is pretty good on Ascent though so you could try her
Honestly I feel like you could even run something like Gen.G Haven on Ascent now
Oh yeah, I forgot about that
The A wall they were throwing was really nice
i think it could genuinely work in this meta where all sentinel utility are nullified
We don't have good recon players in general lolol
I thought about Skye but I just don't know that she has enough stopping power to be relevant on the map. Then again dog gets a lot more value against shotgun meta
If you want stopping power you could always play solo Skye with a Vyse or Killjoy... I don't think solo init double controller is too bad on Ascent (though take that with a grain of salt because it's been too long since I've interacted with this map)
I would probably replace Viper with a senti then
This is one map where I will set aside my Breach-hating agenda because the stun and aftershock actually do threaten many important positions
But replacing either Sova or Kayo with him in the traditional comp is pretty ballsy
Dude thinking about Ascent comp ideas is always so fun (they always end up playing the exact same stuff but it's always fun to theory craft)
Like what if a team ran Vyse Veto?
