Play self sufficient agents like clove, phoenix reyna etc. Why u ask?

What I hate about players uptil plat, is that they expect to win the round in just 10 seconds. They take no map control around the map, run into stacked sites with sage and omen, don't bait out any utility, then blame the duelist for not entering the bomb site in 2 milliseconds. Players uptil plat have some of the most braindead players in the entire game. Instalock reyna is the only way to go

Same goes for duelists who keep pressing W without coordinating with any initiator. They just enter blindly into a site, die and then cry the entire match that their team doesn't support them

After that u can try to main some other roles u like, becuz by that time u will have enough game sense to pick up a role and understand ur part by playing so many games

Have fun

lowkey unpopular opinion, i think it is better to rank up not playing primary duelist. ranking up playing duelist means u are one dimensional and not really improving that much as a player. it is the easier path but ranking up by playing multiple roles help u improve and understand the game at a higher level. It is the harder path though but it feels more rewarding. Maybe it is because I think that low elo players shouldn’t care so much about rr and that improving at the game as a whole is more fun and rewarding.

I disagree low elo players should improve their mechanichs and duelists are one of the best agents to do it

Hey I have gone thru the exact path u r saying. I agree 100% that the game knowledge u have does get better that way, but it's too inconsistent.

U cannot be thinking about the game deeply and be asked to focus on ur crosshair placement the entire round becuz the info that u r getting is not being converted into kills. I am a Sova main so I understand ur opinion, but I will still rather have a player become consistent mechanically and then move on to role specific agents where he doesn't have to worry too much about crosshair placement

i never trust my teammates to know how to give any smoke that isnt a obvious choke smoke in gold so i just play omen brim with a lot of senti, since i can play chamber without worrying abt teammates (trip usually gets more value for info than most filling init players/ selfish ones)

Even that they do poorly ever since clove and miks have come becuz duelist players think they can play just like a duelist and it'll all be fine

its not controversial, its actually very logical. when you play a game, a completely random environment where you are the only consistent factor, its very logical to be self sufficient as you cant rely on external factors

Yeah exactly, I think having good movement can literally win u duels and clutches ur not even supposed to win

just play agents where you can improve your mechanics and take gunfights more than supportive roles

unpopular opinion but for me who's slowly tryna climb out of low elo (i don't play as consistently but this act so far has my best w/l ratio) but duelist is the first role that gets filled most of the time, so being able to be self-suffficient in 2-3 roles is the sweet spot.

i remember having a life game on neon (almost 30 kills) but still lost cuz our damn omen cant smoke to save his life... this is why id rather lock in astra than a duelist if i can lmao

Underrated tip I feel is playing an agent that gives you the ability to lurk more. I think it massively helps in just learning timings around the map and getting a better read on how enemies are likely to react to certain things.

This isn't controversial, literally every high elo player will tell you to do this in low
