found this list of pros and their Kovaaks playlists for the actuall braindead people who only use the range

Like to say i use the Range and Dm's and they are amazing for improving mechanics, and DM's when actively trying to imrpove your crosshair placement will do more, faster if you dont have those fundamentals down. But Aim training is amazing and goated and wonderful and better than playing 10 games of comp and expecting significant mechancial improvement

nAts needs no paid knock-off software.

Didn't say its necassary, but 1000% more effective than ONLY using ingame tools, especially if you already have the fundamentals down

  1. Its a viable way to improve your aim, there is more than enough evidence for this, but some people always use the excuse of X pro doesnt use aim trainer so why should I
  2. Quality of the pros on the list, notice how every T1 pro on this list have some of the best mechancics out there even in the T1 scene

quality of pros does not = evidence; just as many who are as good or better do not do it.

Only person who comes to mind that is better raw aim wise is primmie, and we dont even know whether he aim trains or not. Demon1 and Florescent also are aim trainers and they are at they clear 99% of the scene when it comes to raw aim

Even looking at dif games. The best players of all time do not win train. Zywoo, donk, etc.

However, for ppl that suck, and are not genetically, blessed with great dexterity, or mechanically, then sim training is a good option.

The main point of my comment was to say that just bc a pro does it, does not mean it as evidence to it working.

Donk and Zywoo have exclusively said they don’t aim train?

The Woo for sure, yes.

99% of peoples time would be better used in the game mechanics, half of the people listed have been life long high tier gamers and have 3x more play time than 99.99% of players. There is a difference in using it as a tool when you are already maximizing your in game time and need a change of application vs many players who don't even queue enough daily

Yes of course. My only stance is that just bc pros use it, does not make it higher quality evidence. Because they are already at the top of their game and very few of them needed the aim training to be where they are at. Genetics play a huge role, everyone has strengths and weaknesses.

Im gonna do some research today on CINAHL and see if anyone has been curious enough to do some RCT’s on aim training.

It’s a poorly designed study, but it’s all that is out there atm.

The issue most ppl have with aim training to improve in FPS games is Most of what ppl call 'aim' is often actually good crosshair placement, movement and fight hygiene/fight decision making/angle understanding, just improving pure aim improves none of these other things that all go into a player winning fights and that's not even considering game sense, util understanding (enemies and own), macro decision making, etc it's a very rare situation that someone is specifically ONLY lagging behind in pure aim and not these other categories.

True, I am a firm believer in practicing everything in the game, but that including raw aim + Most of the people that dont aim train dont try to get better at anything. They just flick bots in the range que a dm and call it a day

micro adjustments matter a lot in valorant and aim training helps with that
even with good crosshair placements most of the time you'll still have to micro adjust and have good click timing

Sure, I'm not saying aim doesn't matter, I'm saying it only matters as much as the rest of things, and just playing the game let's you improve all of them at the same rate, just aim training will improve your aim, but not any of the other categories, you'll be bottlenecked by your other mechanics, it doesn't matter if you have radiant level aim if your crosshair placement, movement and game sense are all silver level.

yeah which is why you should do the other things and aim train lol.

Most ppl are not bottlenecked by their aim, playing the game improves your aim as fast as it improves your movement if you aren't focused on either, some ppl need to aim training because their other categories are better than their aim, most would benefit more, or equally from playing another match or spending 15 minutes practicing their mid fight movement or spending 10 minutes learning a set up or lineup or some map theory, aim training will obviously help anyone improve, but only in the sense any training or directed effort on improving any of the categories would help someone improve

#14

people don't spend time only aimtraining without playing the game. Most of people already play the game enough and just do some routine after or before the games

#16

And that would help them improve 100% in the same way spending that 10 minutes before a game practising their movement would, or vod reviewing to look at common mistakes, aim training will help you improve, but not more than other ways of training any of the different skills that go into playing valo.

Good mouse control is one of the easiest ways to improve in valorant that would make you way more consistent
Spending 10 mins vod reviewing wont give the same effect at all
You'll consistently hit more harder and easier shots. You'll have higher first shot accuracy and will have way easier time killing enemies that are strafing and win more 50/50's on top of having higher confidence. It's a good way to improve in both lower and higher elo's as long as you dont hyperfocus on it

Again, I agree aim training is a good way to improve, I just don't think it'd necessary for 95% of ppl playing valorant because most ppl are not bottlenecked by their aim but by their game sense or movement etc.

incorrect. most players are bottlenecked by their aim, game sense, and movement. you should aim to remove every bottleneck. after learning how to move correctly you can practice it on range bots and in deathmatch to remoev the movement bottlneck. you can watch pro vods/educational val content/play ranked to improve ur gamesense and remove that bottleneck. you also should aim train to remove the aim bottleneck.

so yeah you should aim train

95%? Even if someone's aim is decent and they've never aim trained, it will still help them. If anyone's focus is to improve and rank up then aim training is worth it, but not necessary ofc. Also it slighty helps with movement because if you're confident enough with your mouse control you'll panic less and won't just crouch spray everytime and you'll also be able to aim properly mid strafes and track players

the thing with these playlists is that its probably catered towards like the pros themselves its probs like very specific, not to mention the different sens and things

if u dont have fundamentals down get that down first play some range dms and some standard scenarios

  1. Not saying these are what you should be using, just saying that pros use aim trainers
  2. I already emphized the importance of DMS and the range, but working on raw aim increases your overall ability.
