either he genuinely doesn't know how to use brawk, or brawk has such a constrained agent pool that it fundamentally hurts nrg on half the pool

It's the first time I see a recon player being criticized for his agent pool lol
that's because they don't play double init on fade maps so ethan has to be on fade.
Skye and Fade are his 2nd and 4th most played agent all time.
Maybe check before saying smth this dumb

and the main point of my original post is that what they're doing is wrong
they've looked like a fish out of water on split nearly every time they've played it and they've changed their identity on the map three times this year. nobody plays double initiator on fade maps either. with their roles, they could easily play the meta comps with ethan on Omen and brawk on fade, with keiko as second duelist. but clearly they're either not happy with the results with brawk on fade/skye or don't want to play the meta, otherwise i feel like their comps would look significantly different
they just don't want to play the meta that's what they've been doing since last year and I don't see why it would be different now. No need to blame it on brawk for no good reason. They were already doing the same thing with Verno, surely you don't think that verno has a bad Fade right?

personally i feel like nrg resigning themselves to these comps with little overall change and success doesn’t set a good precedent, now that they’ve gone mapless in two games i feel like we have to see big change
yes cause ethen can play good fade and breach then brawk and fade is very good on most of the map and in fracture map breach split need fade lotus need fade and bind also good fade map
I think you are playing for ethan comfort
you dont want your igl on an anchor role away from the pack
you want him on initiator or smokes, but ig keiko is even less flexible so brawk takes over

keiko raze
ethan omen
skuba viper
brawk fade or skye
mada neon
omen is not an anchor

they are opting for vyse here so obviously you dont want ethan on vyse
if you want to call the world champion coach's comp stupid by all means do so
KRU are playing the exact same comp btw

these are 100 percent comfortable roles

now he's forced to play it as an off meta pick

keiko is the most flexible player they have....we have seen him play sentinel smokes and duelist at a high level
keiko senti is not all that good
he doesn't play lurk role when he is on senti, he just plays with the pack and frags out, same as controller basically
and its basically only pearl he plays KJ on
since astra is a better lurker skuba plays astra
he doesnt play lurk role because someone else is on that role. its that simple
his senti is good enough for his team, its like buzz on kj or f0rsaken on cypher
the reason someone else is on that lurk role is because he cant play it...
both players you mentioned aren't good sentinel players specifically, they are just good mechanical players overall and that translates to every role
Ethan wants to play the agents that brawk is good at. Simple as that really
you’d think maybe they switch it up and try something new when they’ve consistently been bad at the map, no?
it’s not like NRG haven’t changed anything, they used skye tejo and have swapped mada from raze neon and waylay interchangably.
that’s what makes me conclude that they don’t like the results with brawk on initiator

The problem is that they won't put keiko on secondary duelist, Ethan on controller, brawk on initiator and skuba on senti/secondary smokes. Like them and g2 have the roles and players to play the meta and yet won't because bonkar and joshrt think "there isn't actually a meta" despite there clearly being one.
