I have had two matches in the past week where there have been players who left mid match and yet Rit0 decides that doesn't qualify for an RR refund. Like seriously I shouldn't lose 20+ RR because someone else decided to leave and my team can't win 4v5 or 3v5. Like they should at least make it so you don't lose as much RR in a scenario like this.

That’s the worst part of low elo, people are so uncommitted to playing out a full game. In my elo I’ll rarely, if ever, have a leaver. Anyone who leaves usually just had their pc or game crash

I think its one thing if you have like a power outage or your pc crashed, but in my experience the people leaving in low elo are people who got tilted and start saying that they're going to leave in the in game chat or on mic which makes it annoying that I get punished for their incompetence.

I was on a 12 game mvp streak. So riot decide to put me in the ascendant and immortal lobby while I was only diamond. I lost badly and got a -35rr. I'm still salty to this day.

That doesn't even make sense, I don't think its physically possible for you to lose 35 rr in a game no matter how bad you do unless you leave the game or smth.

That's the thing. I even open a ticket and they said there's no issues in my MMR. Mind you I did bad like pi bad. But this is what they said

"First, I want to assure you that I've checked your account for any potential malfunctions. As a result, I can confirm that everything is working properly and is updating as intended. I think it would be best to start with the ranking system and RR gain, and then explain how the client software assembles the right team of players for each match.

While winning definitely helps you on your way to a higher rank, our system considers many factors when you rank. Overall performance, team play, and even your gameplay history and experience throughout the match are important. Your in-game behavior is also very important.

The most important factor, however, is your MMR: our entire matchmaking system is based on it. The RR you earn or lose is calculated based on your MMR, which is constantly updated by comparing it with both the average MMR for the last game and the average MMR for your rank. Based on this, the system adjusts your RR for each game so that your account is placed in the appropriate position in the rankings in a timely manner. In this way, the fully automated system aims to objectively and fairly align your rank with your MMR.

If you feel like something is wrong with your MMR and you're being placed with/against the wrong players and don't win enough RR, the best solution is to play more. This can sometimes be challenging, but with each game, your MMR will better align with your rank and ensure that you truly belong in the rank you're in."

I'm not talking about you being placed against ascendants and immortals I'm talking about the fact that you lost 35 rr which I don't even think is possible in the game...

It is. The reasoning is because I lost against someone with lower MMR. Making it look like my MMR is being boosted when they were the one who put me in that rank. So they're trying to readjust my rank by giving me a significant decrease. Apparently you can even loss upward to -50rr if you're rank above diamond.

Huh that's strange, I've 5 stacked occasionally with my friends on my main who are much lower rank than I am and I would never lose more than 20-25 rr. Then again I don't bottom frag so I guess that could be the reason I never see any -30 rr games but that's still pretty weird to me.
