Not really the same. Despite the meta geng will always dominate when it's not worlds. No such team in Val.
Peak form geng is like unbeatable that they have made league esports boring to watch basically like vitality in cs2 but unlike vitality geng can't handle pressure in major/worlds like event and they fall off hard. League is just 2-3 team esports for a couple of years now.

not really, peyz had good players around him and without having someone to baby sit him, he tends to get caught like crazy.

He also had missing, scout and xiaoxu, who aren't really full poopoo players, they aren't the best, but at least they good enough to play in internationals. I mean, if he needs world class players to be good, then, i guess, he is amazing.

while his teammates get a free pass for choking 3 smites, running away from team fights for no reason, getting giga gapped by mid top laners, and getting out played in bot lane.
yeah the most notorious choker in the game’s history happens to often choke in big moments since GRF. the example you just showed also helped pushed my belief that players like ruler and kiin are not the best itw in my honest opinion (also u cannot be downplaying bdd astro gapping chovy lmfao). i think chovy is amazing but as of rn he’s like the 2nd least deserving player to be called the best in his role

they only lose if they play too safe, they only lost at worlds last year
They have the best top laner for past 3 years, best jungle of all time, best mid for past 5 years, best adc of all time and a cracked support who just debuted last year (already has ewc and msi trophy). Watching them play league makes you feel like you are watching an AI play because of the perfect macro and team fighting. They just struggle in worlds hence all the memes. One of the strongest rosters of all time easily.
