I'll give you my thoughts on the live game
Probably not with their Harbor comp to be honest. I don't think it will go 3 maps though
Mechanics can bully worse teams but when you play against teams that are all good and have good game plans you can't just run around and shoot (even PRX would be bad if they weren't so creative and coordinated with their stuff). The best teams at the international level will not give you the fights you are used to getting in scrims or from worse teams and they will force you to actually break down their setups.
Elevated, do you agree that the map pools for all teams are the weakest we've ever seen them? Feel like map bans and choices matter more than ever
Yeah it's hard to say if it's just because a lot of teams have really simplified their games due to meta choices. But some of these vetos have been genuinely baffling and only explainable by having 2+ maps they they are not good at.
PRX comp is really good vs the Viper comp but it works pretty well against double duelist too. Teams have been extremely bad at punishing C and stopping the Phoenix/Yoru snowball
Haven't really thought too much about comp counters but from a macro perspective you want to fight them for C orb on defense and abuse the Chamber having to hold half the map by himself. On attack you want to take advantage of the comp needing to gamble a lot and punish chamber's weak info tools + Yoru teleport timing.
How to you think of G2 member trying to fast pace their game nowadays? you think they fit with that?
Yeah I think it's good. The transition began when they signed Jawgemo. I think leaning into what makes him good by adding another aggro player like Babybay is a good choice. It also frees up Leaf to find all kinds of timings and I think reduces mental stack on Valyn which has let him frag like crazy this season.
I did it purely off of a data model. The model was a bit flawed and didn't tax CN stats enough for being a weaker region. Also... I was in the process of applying to work with them for the event and was betting on my impact helping them.
