A simple note in case you dont understand whats below it
Watch the elevated analysis of harbor to get what I talk about, its not everything, but it describes how harbor should be ideally played
Harbor fills in that controller initiator role, and with the current meta of yoru waylay is a really good fit as a primary or secondary controller
The reason: SOUND, and Shield.
The only time a yoru is really vulnerable, is when they do an aggro tp deep into site. But now lets look at harbor. Just like how a jett would smoke and dash in, you can use Cove in the same way.
Similarly for a waylay, their real vulnerability is when they're entrying, with no real "survival tool" as what id call it. But cove, becomes that survival tool, and the benefit, you can place it from literally anywhere(of course time), and it becomes a constant threat
The reason you can use it like this- Because Cove is not your primary smoking tool, its how you'd use something like a cypher cage or a viper orb, its better used to take initial space, saving the wall for the final site take
And storm surge, is pretty much a mini omen paranoia except it also does info so you also always know when you blinded someone
The way i can see a harbor run is in one of 3 ways
1)Your only smoker- Think like the way people run astra on pearl or omen on split, use the cove for the initial map control(like how astra would use a recall star to cross the B long siteline), then use the wall for your site take (in this case storm surge works like the paranoia in omen's kit/ gravity well/stun in astra's kit )
2) Dual Smoker(Primary) -Think like Brimstone on Bind, you find the site you want to hit, using the wall directly, and either the storm surge(as the molly), or the cove(as a stim to catalyse an entry), to make the attack work
3) Dual Smoker(Secondary) - think like astra in the geng comp for breeze, you use your utility to mainly cross sightlines you dont want to deal with, and use your main smokes for a deep cover, while your main smoker takes over shallow cover, ie you split the site into 2 layers
I mean with this versatility in style. He deserves more play
