If you think about it Radiant Ranked Leaderboard is one of the best scouting tools for VCT. Every upcoming big talent before joining any tier 2 org is almost always starts off with being consistent top 10 in Radiant Leaderboard.
I remember when Oxy dominated ranked before joining G2 and everyone called him a cheater then they eventually realised he is the next big thing and got picked up. Similar things happened with nightz, timotino, vora, smoke, notexdd (just won NA challengers), even all of Rankers.

I am only talking about NA in last 2-3 years btw, its so common in oyher regions as well. As much as everyone hates ranked its actually the best tool to go Pro.

top 10 is a massive stretch. I think u mean top 100. Also 90% of t2 orgs arent gonna scout from ranked, they are going to scout from t3 with ranked also being a contributing factor. Theres a reason why haeyoday is still on a random t3 team.

I think some randoms could get into top 100 with some luck but top 10 is where the next talent is. If you dont believe just go on tracker and see top 10s for acts up until the end of 2024. Everyone on those lists were either current pro or the pro at that time.

But most t2 players careers who didnt come from cs didnt reach t2 bc they were a conssitent top 10 radiant, it came bc they were good on t3 teams.

I mean most ppl in top 10 radiant are always pros or influencers, only like 30 ppl will even hit top 10 once per each, and of those maybe 10 arent in t2 and are actually interested in competing in t2. And of those 10 probably only half have consistently been a top 10 player act after act, and of those 5 maybe only 3 have a good agent pool. So u only have 3 players who could be future t2 prospects at the moment but this is simply not true, as there are a lot more then 3 new players each year in t2.
