kangkang has multiple regional trophies, a champs trophy, and multiple high finishes internationally. Why could he not be the goat?

meteor farmed his first intl. trophy versus the chokiest team in vct history, and his second intl. trophy from one of the flukiest masters runs in vct history
wow meteor won trophies against two great consistent teams… what does that have to do with anything?
TH were chronic chokers in 2024 and only broke the streak with a mickey mouse tournament in EWC.
G2 are domestic farmers and can't compete internationally (if they were good enough to sweep regionally, why did they only make (and choke) one grand finals all year?)
G2 threepeated americas and had good showings at Bangkok and Toronto, they were ass in champs. This whole “G2 can’t compete internationally” take is only applicable to champs events where they have underperformed 2 times. Nonetheless they had a good year and were very consistent. In Bangkok T1 beat every first seed to win the trophy as an underdog team and gave us one of the greatest finals ever. T1 did struggle after that so I can see why you think that but the fact is that Meteor is a great player and took over the grand finals which earned him MVP
TH might have not won a trophy but they made 4/6 possible finals that year including two internationals. Both GENG and TH were in great form throughout Masters Shanghai especially Meteor, so I don’t see why you have to devalue the win just because Team Heretics has a reputation of not winning trophies.

nah... he missed his first event approximately 66 million years ago, he could have had three trophies, even if one is in the dinosaur era.

although aspas did poorly at Toronto, he also set an all time high for rating at an international afaik. I think that makes up for it
he has never had a bad game + he has 2 international trophies to his name, he carried both times even tho he only got MVP once

Meteor had two of these moments: his 4k vs th on Lotus down 0-3 on an eco, and his 1v3 ace clutch vs G2 down 2-7, when it fucking matters the most, im not taking anyone else besides him
But since everyone cares about stats, I wanna point out that its basically impossible for a pure sentinel player to have the best stats in any tournament, since basically all protocalls are geared around punishing lurkers (We saw this at champs with Nats)
Listen I've been watching VCT for at least a little bit for my knowledge to be somewhat respectable and I just wanna say that I've never seen a player like Meteor, who can ACTUALLY step up when it matters the most, so thats just my opinion
