I've only watched season 1 but the anime MF Ghost has a very detailed concept of car racing. If you're into F1 that's a show to watch. Season 3 just started few days ago.

U can start by watching highest rated shows of all time like Breaking bad or The sopranos. Imo any show with 8+ imdb rating whether u like the genre or not is generally good
