are these guys even trying to win anymore? How come they havent played a single off season tournament. Or are they saving strats? Surely they are getting kicked once the 2027 org re evaluation starts

You don't need to play off season to show intent for winning. Off season don't mean much. Also eg probably didn't even get invited in the first place. And it's better if eg hides stuff for kickoff since their roster in paper is kinda mid and Americas is very competitive next year.

EG has an academy team now so they can scrim and practice as much as they want without leaking strats, I imagine that’s what they’re doing

i would honestly argue that dropping 4 players that haven't been able to get a spot on a tier 1 team shows that they want to win

C0M - pivotal player in the champions winning 2023 EG squad and has been in tier 1 for a long time
Okeanos - Promising tier 2 prospect that did well with lev stage 2 last year
Bao - pretty good tier 2 stats even though sad esports was kinda buns the last split
dgzin - farmed 2025 kickoff on loud (1.19 rating), got kicked for no reason, farmed tier 2 ascension (1.2 rating), definitely good enough to be in tier 1
overall maybe not as competitive as other americas teams but i think they could make a splash
