3rd place team vs 8th place, you are comparing 1 series played on 80 ping anyone with a brain can put 2 and 2 together and see it was a fluke
Dk came in without any preparation tho since they weren't supposed to be taking part in apac. they only took part because china pulled out.
Does not beat the fact that DWG lost, be it a fluke. GE also almost beat F4Q showing that they had something against the Korean teams.

But keep in mind that
GE had no international exposure,
They too are used to playing on 5-8 ping (LAN like conditions)
VCC ended just before APAC LCQ, they also did not have a lot of prep coming in compared to other SEA teams which had months in advance to prep.
"almost beat f4q" it does not fucking matter if they almost beat them , they still fucking lost the series , every ge fan is still crying about almost beating f4q while i didnt see any liquid fans crying about losing to gambit in ot during emea playoffs or any kru fans cry about almost beating gambit during champs
every time this topic gets brought up , every ge fan keeps stating that "GE almost beat F4Q which went to berlin!"
See context, OP is crying about GE winning over DWG, DWG still lost the series.
Also, Liquid vs Gambit, KRU vs Gambit did not even come close to what GE vs F4Q was but anyways your point is true.
F4Q vs GE was 14-16 last map in LCQ while KRU vs GMB was 16-18 last map in CHAMPIONS
Difference is one is a fucking LCQ and the other is the biggest tourney of the year
Putting ping / prep aside, DK always start tournaments slow and begin to heat up the more matches they play.
So my take is that GE won fair and square, fluke or not, but the DK that GE beat was not on the same level as the one that beat PRX (with DK having a higher skill ceiling because of this)
None of this even matters though, as DK have a new roster and GE are choosing friendships over W's xD

Chinese teams and zeta pull out, Damwon has 2 weeks to prep while the LCQ teams had almost 2 months
Damwon players, especially t3xture didnt have APAC ranked accounts, he made one 2 acts ago and hes only mid immortal because he never plays, hes only been playing KR server with 7 ping
NOW, series starts
First game damwon played on 80 ping for first time ever, play vs GE who has 75 ping, GE won
Second game they switched the servers, 45 vs 75, Damwon won
Third game they kept 45-75, but game was paused for tech issues like 3 times and the breaks took easily over 10 minutes, clearly there was lag issues, GE won
Ok now think rationally what happened after this,
GE loses 0-2 to PRX, total stomps one of them is 13-0
DK goes through lowers and beats TWO SEA teams and 1 JP team including PRX, Nuturn that beat F4Q that beat GE, makes it to lowers finals
GE never beats a single SEA team ever despite playing in multiple tournaments after this

but Rossi still owned texture in that one time they matched up. If I take your excuses as sensible hear me out.
GE played on 75-80 ping constantly, DWG went from 80 to 45 ping. GE still wins. No inconsistencies from GE in this game.
Match 2, GE vs PRX, GE is bootcamping in Chennai where there is a massive storm due to it being on the coast.
GE's players disconnected in between rounds giving PRX 2v5s constantly. Even in the stream you can see that GE is suffering from severe connectivity issues.
Match 3, GE vs F4Q, Both teams play really well. GE is dominating on the last map and is on game point. It comes to an 1v3. FiveK being the chad that he is clutches the round and ultimately makes a comeback and win. GE lost but you cannot really say that GE was a bad team here. They pushed F4Q to the limits.
Considering the data that we have, GE has good performance on 100% of the matches played internationally and a bad performance when they literally have potato internet.

nah, it was more like 80 vs 75 in the first one and the second and third were 80 vs 45. But yeah the point still remains.
- GE was one round away from beating F4Q that too, they bought to a 1v3.

Iβve got no clue, the match literally happened over 3 months ago as well so it doesnβt even matter anymore. Both scenes have changed since then
That's what I don't get. Anything before Champs doesn't matter now. Just remember it as achievements and not a point to argue.
