I never thought of it as such but someone said it was today and idk
No just a online Also it is not Twitter filled with shitter or Instagram filled with corny content
ofcourse it is (its social interaction in the internet)
unless you dont consider us as humans :(
If it had a friend list or follower system maybe, i think its just a forum that has an active community
Yeah in that sense I don't think it's social enough to be considered a form of SM
Maybe idk. It’s just semantics at the end of the day, whether you classify it as such doesn’t really matter
I don’t wanna lie tho :(
Lying makes me feel bad but I don’t wanna go thru and explain what vlr is
I get that 🫠 I’d probably just say I use an online forum if I were asked that I guess
I guess it depends on who’s asking. If it’s a questionnaire about for example beauty standards then no, if it’s a questionnaire about how you socialize then yes
It is social media. Regardless of how you define SM, it gives you same sense of dopamine brainrot like sm
technically it is (forums are social media) but not in the same way tiktok or instagram is
i mean its a forum and most people would define forums as social media so yea? its basically no different to reddit except its a specifically focused topic, most people consider reddit social media why wouldnt VLR be, the only meaningful distinction would be home pages where reddit has basically a social media feed and VLR has written articles, but the articles are basically just a curated social media feed focused on valorant anyway.
this discussion basically comes down to people hearing terms used negatively and wanting to warp the definition of the term to only include the negative aspects so they can distinguish things that technically would come under that term into a different thing to remove them from the negativity, people think social media = bad so you want to argue VLR isnt social media, it happens with so many things with online discourse because nuance is impossible online.
