no its just because curious creatures question everything and eventually it would be the question of what the meaning of existence is
caring about this question can actually make ur life better and happier but it could also do the opposite
surviving for lots of humans is easy now which was the primary focus of us in like cavemen era. now that we don’t have things like finding food, finding shelter, finding water, not getting killed by another animal or the environment, protecting our offspring, etc we have so much more time yet our brains still crave the dopamine release that comes with success and the process of achieving something because that was needed to survive so we supplement it was careers, passions, hobbies, gaming, etc
Did u know paradox of progress? Thats exactly happen in this society, We live in interesting times, materially everything is clearly much better than before but Strangely, now there is a widespread feeling of hopelessness, the better conditions we get, the more anxiety and desperate we become.
our brains are not wired for so much of ours lives to be out of our direct control because it is against how our entire reward structure is built. therefore when we get harmed or even just perceive we are getting harmed in spite of the work we do individually to stop it our brains feel hopelessness and we become passive as a survival mechanism. several parts of our brain genuinely have no way of differentiating real threats vs made up or manufactured ones. our progress as individuals has become far less meaningful and its value has diminished due to the nature of how modern society is structured
Not only humans search for a meaning in life. All life that we know is in a constant battle to live. Life does not give up and die. Humans may be the only ones that search for a purpose in living, but all life strives to live. Such is the nature of life.
