To be frank, staying in the domestic scene gives players more popularity, income, and match opportunities than moving to Tier 1, where they’d have to compete in a foreign country.
Just curious, will they also have a monthly pay along with this buyout pay?(if they do then this buyout is absolutely insane)
The transfer fee is probably a penalty for terminating the contract, so it likely isn’t directly related to the player’s salary. However, their salaries are probably on par with—or even higher than—those in Tier 1. Meiy also mentioned on stream that players in Japan’s Tier 2 are getting paid more than some league teams.
