Job security in Val

Coaches in NA teams have a lot more job security than I would have expected, right?

-100T: Zikz got an extra year for no reason
-C9: Immi got two years for no reason, still employed…
-SEN: Kaplan will prob get an extra year even if they flop this year
-EG: Potter gets glazed so much for the 2023 win (deservedly). She basically has tenure…
-NRG: Chet is the only one that comes to mind that got booted at the right time. Bonkar is good.
-G2: joshrt is good

I know there aren’t a lot of coaches but still surprising that orgs don’t try to make changes after 2+ years of no success (C9, 100T)

finding coaches is harder than finding players so i imagine teams are more likely to recycle or hire assistant coaches from winning teams

100T won a regional trophy, made top 4 at shanghai and were 2 rounds away from making champs. zikz’ contract extension made sense in this case cause 100T were a literal dumpster fire in 2023

proven coaches are hard to come by

There is no job security
Many end up taking job as a security post their career instead
