has parted ways with Kimmie "Kicks"
Laasner after two years together.
As the longest-standing member of Vitality's current roster before his departure, Kicks first joined the team back in September 2023 as part of their 2024 rebuild. After missing out on playoffs in Stage 1, Vitality would go on to make a deep run in Stage 2, placing second and achieving their first international qualification to Champions 2024. They exited the group stage in Seoul with a 1-2 record.
Heading into 2025, Kicks was retained as part of the Vitality core alongside Saif "Sayf" Jibraeel and Nikita "trexx" Cherednichenko as they constructed a superteam with the star signings of Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev and Felipe "Less" de Loyola Basso. The team started the year strong, winning the organization's first VCT trophy at EMEA Kickoff and placing fourth at Masters Bangkok, but later fell to the middle of the regional standings and were unable to return to the international stage for the rest of the year despite multiple roster changes.
“Thank you to everyone from players and staff who helped me become a better player and person both in and out of the game,” Kicks said of his time on the team. “It was probably the best 2 years of my life and I will forever be grateful to everyone I got the pleasure of spending the time with.”
