The Champions, and the Grand Finals just don’t feel serious when compared to Worlds. There’s so much more hype at Worlds, and the storylines are so much better. I guess Valorant is still pretty new compared to LoL but ya

well for one the storyline in valorant is max 5 years old, usually not even that tho

i get that NRG's 25 rrun was kinda underwhelming on top of valorant being pretty young

some people say edg and eg wins came out of nowhere specifically and for edg that is true but they still had some sort of storyline/hope to do something at champs cause they made it to all the events and faced tough competition (gen.g TH prx loud) at those masters losses which isn't bad at all imo gen.g TH are gand finalist and prx loud were somewhat good at that time
NRG didn't for 90% of the year they are the biggest example of coming out of nowhere which is cool but it lacks a storyline aside from the fact that they won out of nowhere

I honestly don't think the NRG, EDG or EG runs were bad at all. I just don't think Riot do enough to generate hype/a storyline for these games. The Worlds teaser videos generate so much hype, the Champions teasers are like school video projects in comparison.
felt pretty serious to me. Never watched worlds tho. Sounds like they just got good shit going on over there. I definitely wouldn't call Champs unserious though. Maybe in comparison to worlds it's not as crazy, but it's still hype compared to other esports I've watched
