Hot take for NA

I might just be the only not from NA with high hopes for the region this year.
NA’s biggest strength in valo was never mechanical skill or actual strats, but their hability to understand and innovate in the game.
Most metas until masters Berlin were born and bred in NA, and this year they’re changing up things a lot again, letting go of the jett for a chamber/raze comp which I think it suits most teams in the region extremely well.
It’ll be fun to see how this bet plays out tho.

agree, kinda.
The thing about NA teams other than innovation was their mental. After Champions only the top teams will be able top keep high hopes for their rosters and not change their players in attempts of getting better results.
I'm not expecting anything from them, but watching their teams is refreshing and fun to watch nontheless so at least NA Val will be full of clips and new strats to keep in mind for major tournaments.

Wasn't EU started playing no jett comps on their team and single duelist while teams in NA like SEN played a lot of double duelists comp before masters in 2021

Sen played no duelist comp with sinatraa

when EU was playing no jett comps, SEN won masters and people were calling NA the best region. but masters 3 and champs rolled along and every top team had a cracked almost 100% jett main and that’s when EU won when they finally realized duelists were good

You guys do realize jett was BANNED in the c9 NRG match so don’t go analyzing metas based off of that

I’m not saying jett will just disappear, but in maps such as bind, fracture and split chamber/raze can be superior for some teams

NA’s biggest weakness is their mental.

NA as a region is all momentum based. When they are feeling good the top NA teams are basically unbeatable, but when they start taking hits and they are stumbling NV and Sen have a VERY hard time regaining composure.

The reason Vanity has been able to have decent success with less skilled teams is because he seems to have a way of keeping his guys emotions in check.

NA teams need to get mental coaches, pretty sure it could help a lot

iirc KR had a major part in bringing out new metas like Bucky,Stinger, Breach n Jett flash n dash..
Do you remember any metas that were discovered in NA?
And honestly I just cant see how chamber would be part of teams that play alot on their utility..considering Kj/cyph have better amount of utility
Guess times will tell..

I’d say NA showed the importance of the sova, (thanks to sinatraa mostly say what you will about the guy).

The difference a star jett awper can do.

sentinels popularised the jett/reyna duo for the rest of the world.

And post plant meta came purely out of vanity, showing other teams how good buffed viper could be.

So yeah, valorant metas until mid 2021 was mainly defined by NA

sacy was the core of the victorious era of VKS during the first quarter of 2021
Even tho to a lower degree, gaabx and xand were the core of their teams during the first quarter of 2021 as well, also some T2/T3 team had their star Jett too
Double duelist was actually the main formation of Gamelanders during the time they won everything on Year 1
Viper was a content creation agent before Riot gave her the importance she has now, so being a content creation agent actually explains why NA used her first lmao

All those points I listed were before Masters Iceland

The sova and jett metas I mentioned were from 2020, BR valorant scene barely even existed back then
