The Biggest Orgs in all Valorant (A Rank)

Recently I got into a discussion about the biggest Valorant org and I decided to put together a ranking of the biggest orgs based on placements in tournaments. Obviously, everyone is free to have their own opinion, and just like in any sport, it’s not only facts and numbers that define how great a team (or org) is.

First, I set a score system for each title/final or stuff like that:

Regional VCT Champion Pre-Franchise: 2 Points
Regional VCT Runner-up Pre-Franchise: 1 Point
Regional VCT Champion Post-Franchise: 3 Points
Regional VCT Runner-up Post-Franchise: 2 Points
Lock//IN Champion: 4 Points
Lock//IN Runner-up: 3 Points
Lock//IN 3rd/4th Place: 2 Points
Regional Masters Champion: 3 Points
Regional Masters Runner-up: 2 Points
Masters Champion: 5 Points
Masters Runner-up: 3 Points
Masters 3rd Place: 1 Point
EWC Champion: 3 Points
EWC Runner-up: 2 Points
Champions Winner: 10 Points
Champions Runner-up: 4 Points
Champions 3rd Place: 2 Points
Champions 4th Place: 1 Point

The only tournaments I’ll count from 2021 are Masters and Champions.

Taking into account ONLY titles and finals (which is not the only factor that makes one team bigger than another, but it’s a big part of it), here’s the Top 3 from each region and the overall Top 15 biggest Valorant orgs:

China:
1st EDward Gaming: 25 Points
2nd FunPlus Phoenix: 15 Points
3rd Bilibili Gaming: 6 Points

Pacific:
1st Paper Rex: 30 Points
2nd GenG: 18 Points
3rd DRX: 15 Points

EMEA:
1st Fnatic: 35 Points
2nd Team Heretics: 17 Points
3rd Acend: 12 Points

Americas:
1st Loud: 27 Points
2nd Sentinels: 20 Points
3rd G2 Esports: 19 Points

TOP-15:
1st: Fnatic: 35 Points
2nd: Paper Rex: 30 Points
3rd: Loud: 27 Points
4th: EDG: 25 Points
5th: Sentinels: 20 Points
6th: G2 Esports: 19 Points
7th: GenG: 18 Points
T-8th: TH: 17 Points
T-8th: DRX: 17 Points
9th: FPX: 15 Points
11th: EG: 13 Points
12th: NRG: 14 Points
T-13th: Acend: 12 Points
T-13th: Optic: 12 Points
T-15th: Gambit: 11 Points
T-15th: Liquid: 11 Points

Orgs like FPX that started in one region than changed to another dont have different points for each region, its the same org, they drag their points with them, and they will be classified in the region they are acting.

Reminder: this ranking is only based on PLACEMENTS and leaves out a lot of important tournaments (like 2021 Regionals and Ascensions for example). It also does not consider important external factors to think when ranking teams/orgs.

I’ll keep updating this list every time a tournament ends.

Any questions or ideas to make this scoring system more solid are welcome.

and the A tiers are regionals, which they probably farmed during early season as well as 2023

I think it's the fact that optic disbanded after 2022 while loud kept going, and that champs is worth way more than masters which I personally think is weighted bad

yeah, but every other team had 2 years in the scenario to win tournaments before EDG showed up, and they were not ''farming free points'' they were winning tournaments, and they won a Champions, thats why they are so high, I cant just give less points because it was supposedly worst before, its literally the same tournament with the same teams, u feel me?

yes it does wtf, not necessary for the reasons u said, but every tournament has a weight, like in football, that the champions league is the biggest of europe but the World cup is the biggest of them all, or in basketball that the NBA is the biggest, or in CS that Majors are the biggests of it, if the level is higher, so is the weight of it.

the reason you got people confused is because the term "bigger" (maior) is something we use a lot in Brasil but gringos dont really do, so they dont know what it means.

To be clear, what he meant is different from "better" because better implies quality, meanwhile what OP is trying to gage here is more like the "weight of the achievements", not the quality of said achievements

exactly, thanks, its not about the BEST team, its about the teams that had the best achievements, u cant rank orgs based on quality, u can only rank LINES or CORES based on it, because orgs change players, so they get worse or better, like MIBR that is going to their first champions, they are the 3rd /4th BEST team in americas, but they are not near that in term of BIGGEST, like G2, they are obviously the BEST team in americas, but they are far from being the biggest
