You can talk about how its a good or bad rule, and whether it should continue to be used over some other alternative.
But lets be clear,
it does NOT make PRX's win a fluke, having a well rounded map pool is one of the several factors a trophy winning team should have.

PRX (3rd pac seed from stage 1) couldnt beat GEN.G in Toronto groups. why should FNC (1st emea seed from stage 1) have to beat them to avoid losing to 2 map ban?
EWC is less fraudulent than Toronto because the bo5 grand finals is fair and so the 1st place team is fully deserving (2nd place might not be, but it is worth the sacrifice).
Sometimes you get matched against teams which have a stylistic advantage over you, it's just a part of competition, yeah it was particularly unlucky, but it's the exact same as getting placed in a group of death.
If you can't adapt can you really be called the best team at the tournament?

That's also I'm saying like a team had beaten another team so why do they have to again beat that team if you had already proven you are the best. Without 2 map ban it's highly disadvantage for the unbeatable team bcz lower bracket team also get to play 5 map and gets more experience from that

personally i think the best solution to the playoff pick would be to let the teams choose their pick in order of regional placement at the first masters
so since t1 got first at bangkok, rrq get the first pick for the playoffs draw at toronto
unfortunately that means that fnc still get the last pick and still probably play geng
I think a cool way to do it would be to use the new regional power rankings, the stronger overall regions get higher priority for example (admittedly they’re not perfect, but they’re better than random imo)
if Toronto played like EWC, FNC can't do that lower bracket run bullshit.

Its the advantage for not losing a single game in playoffs. You r already given a second chance in the lower bracket. Considering that you lost 1 game (2 maps) in the upper bracket, they transfer that 2 map for the upper final winner.
upper map advantage is pure cope
if you're a salaried team and can't play the maps in the pool at a comfortable world class level then you shouldn't be allowed to win an event
