Huge respect to MIBR and NRG - Aspas is looking insane, Artzin is turning up big, Verno is calling very nicely - going into the tournament, the performance MIBR had in Stage 2 and Toronto definitely left a lot to be desired though. The bootcamp they did and the prep Frod has made has been immense. That FNC game was pretty close as well.
NRG definitely are something of a dark horse. Being honest, they were pretty good in Stage 2, but definitely not world-beating by the looks of things. They got dominated by G2 in-region and were in a group with TL and EDG, both of whom flopped this year. Mada is ramping up and whilst it's not gonna be close to Demon1 level, it feels like he is rising at the right moment. Skuba is also rock solid, Brawk turned up today monumentally, S0m keeps to motivation going and Ethan might be making a good case that he is a solid caller. I remember when Ethan initially IGLed in 2024 and Sinatraa said in scrims, Ethan was making god calls.
I'm gonna be honest and say that NA's weak region claims definitely stem from their lack of creativity on their comps. The meta is pretty open now and we're seeing comps which have been used for a good while now. However, it's clear that NRG know how to work maps and understand win-cons. They could have seriously 13-0'd Haven with Brawk going deathless. It would have been unbelievable to witness.

Americas was weak start of the year and mid year as only good was G2 and sen were just good enough to beat regionally but not good enough to beat international teams, in stage 2 ur teams got better.

liquid did exceed everyones expectations this year tho, the roster on paper and starting games werent great
