I don't know why were people so surprised. This might be a hot take but the run they had last year it's pretty clear that Team Heretics have the highest ceiling out of any team in champs right now imo. They are just very inconsistent at times but when they're genuinely playing well they can beat any team but at the same time on a bad day could lose to a Tier 2 Chinese team.
